  • the name of the song which is played at 0:25

  • Atrocious horn angles

  • Comment removed

  • terrible to see.......

  • firmes y adelante huestes de la fe

  • forget marching and playing, the colour bears are just ambling down the road in the own time. you should be able to do better than this

  • im in the military branch of the salvation army

  • @Phantom663 k miltary is not even close the salvation army all you do is help poor people

  • @RobertoEscolero1995 you very obviously cannot take a joke

  • If everyone in the US would give $0.01, that would give the salvation army over $3,000,000.00.

  • Continued from my last comment, that is all of course once I go through my Psychological Rehabitilatation (anger management, depression therapy) and up grade my special ed diploma to a GED. But either way one day I plan on serving 100% of my life to the Lord God Almighty.

  • First off I must say I became a born again christian this past june 2009, I am of the Southern Baptis Faith and 25 years old. I attended worship service for about 2 years 2004-2006 and volunteered for the Salvation Army out here in augusta, ga (home of the masters) when I was agnostic. Now that I am born again I plan on becoming a Salvation Army Soldier and work up the ranks in the SGT ranks up to highes of nco ranks then go to the Salvation Army College in Atlanta

  • Lol.Why is it tht the instuments are not facing up?

  • ummm.. which instruments? facing up? what are you on about?! Lol..

  • @viveck92 The Salvation Army isn't a typical marching band. And with the amount of cornets we have, they don't need to be up to be heard.

  • There were people from Indiana in that video as well

  • I love this video. Reminds me of my childhood when I marched with them. Wish I still could. The light of glory shines in their eyes.

  • Someone asked a question about timbrel and tambourine the answer is they are they same but it is plural like goose and geese. To another comment the band is just a tool to hopfully get folks curious as well as enjoy the music- we hope they say what in the world arre these people about . The answer to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ in any and every means viable possible. The band although old school is one of these tools God Bless

  • It is not a sin to support band practice. The question is, "Do you equate that with a deep and spiritual faith?"

  • quien carajos es ese pato desgraciado infelis

  • They're not just "dressing up and having a good time". The aim of parades is to attract people to the movement, in the hope they will be persuaded to join.

  • Is it a sin to support faith.

  • Whats the difference between a timbrel and a tambourine? They appear to be identical.

  • Yay, I was playing timbrels!

  • OMG, that Corps was really good!! We really have to do something like that at out corps!

  • that's not one corps.. it's a multitude of corps from the Western States. My best friend was playing cornet with his father down there. Repping Seattle Temple!

  • Thats so cool. It would be so nice if some of the corps from the central territory get together and play in a parade. At most, there are a few corps that get together for the Bud Biliken Parade in Chicago.

  • actually its Salvationists from all over the US. I marched in it (2001) and I am from the central territory. I know my division sends people every year. They win the right to participate at Music Camp.

  • You don't know how many people in their I know personally. It sometimes creeps me out, but being from the Salvation Army (no, it's not just a thrift store), I really learn to get over it.

    Dearborn Heights, MI Corps ROCKS!!!

  • Hip Hip Hooray! I salute the ones who do whatever they can whenever they can! I hope donations are up this year regardless of the economy. Come on people put something in those buckets!

    Peace

  • Jayne...O-T-H-E-R-S...there may have been a few people in the audience who have never even seen a timbrel! You guys are fortunate you HAVE a timbrel brigade. Spare a thought for those who don't. Does it matter what "routine" is played. Praise God for those who are passionate enough about the Lord to just be involved in a Ministry (yes, that's what our sections are - Ministries). I thought it was great just having the Band and Timbrels in such a high profile event. Thank God for the Salvos!

  • Blod and fire, don't forget that Jesus love you

  • I dont like how the salvation army had Carrie underwood represent them a few years ago for the holidays. (If they look at their records their donations went down that year. Such unprofessionalism isnt tolerated. Its like Bush representing our olympic teams with his volleyball appearance.)

  • bkn

  • The Timbrelists could've done a better routine... that one was boring (I used to create them so I know what it's like). I was expecting better especially for the rose parade. Kind of bummed about that, but the band was wonderful as usual.

  • I`m not agree... timberlist did an excellent performance... to play and march and the same time it is so difficult... and this routine it`s the classic they perform every year, but also they prepared others... there is some of these routines on internet!!! GOD BLESS YOU SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BAND AND TIMBRELS!

  • I never said it wasn't hard (in fact if you read my comment then you'll see I was also a timbrelist). But you said it yourself "classic". Everyone and their mother has seen this routine.. they are WONDERFUL timbrelists, but the routine lets them down, just something more than the SA basic parade routine (which we learned at summer camp at 8 years old) is all. It could've been more creative. I am bored with this routine is all I was saying. The timbrelists were great, the ROUTINE was NOT.

  • WOOT WOOT South West Division

    Glendale Az Corps! lol

  • Good Old Army - There'snothing like it

  • WOW - they're Marching so fast - I was getting puffed out just from watching!

  • I took part in this with Regent Hall Band (UK) 10 years ago. This year I took my 12 year old son to watch. It was great to see The Salvation Army witnessing in this way. Keep it up! My son loved it and wants to go back next year!!!! Blessings to you all!

  • i love the army im a proud member of the OBT corps band and i really think we need a marching band for events downtown like columbus day parade or 4th of july...anyone with me on that?

  • i totally agree. it's cool that the SA is being represented like this, but they really should put more effort into getting people who can actually march and play... at the same time! crazy thought isn't it? whatever. i'm sure they'll be excellent this year!

  • I guess the first one was a hymnal.

  • does anyone know what band played that recentish pop song?

  • I love it!

I would love to play there, but it's a bit far away. How many cornets are playing there?

  • did you see the girl who stopped playing to pick up her music??

    lol thats me! hahaha!

  • @Soccergirl32392 susanne???

  • Onward christian soldiers marching as to war... I miss the good ol' Salvation Army band music.

  • ahahahaha i saw me!!!!!

  • Every year I have to watch the Army performance at the Roses Parade. Good Job!
