Very informative. I would of love to learn more about the spot metering and selecting the right aperature. I have an issue with things coming out blurry.

I used the spot meter approach with great success. I aimed at the midtone shade then locked and shoot. It ended up being one of best pictures of the year.

Jeff Black is an incredible glamour, bathing suit, boudoir and magazine photographer. I like his personality and how quickly he taught that photo shoot with ambient light within a five minute time frame. The model was cute across the video, except her tattoo being exposed. That is usually frowned upon by swimsuit and fashion designers because they have to Photoshop it out. Jeff you are awesome in my book!

The photographer towards the end tells us he is using spot metering! - At the beginng he uses a light meter and/or grey card to dial in his exposure settings!!

4:22 - 5:19 tickles me. Why would we use a $500 lightmeter or $5 grey card, when we can get the same reading using built-in camera lightmeter (which is built-in the camera anyway)? Of course I'm talking about this particular shot, with ambient light only. Studio shots with strobes are a whole different story.

I'm not going cheapo, I'm going practical....

But, all in all, it's really a nice video....:)

Holding by lens reduces the stress on the lens mount of the camera. with a heavy lens that is the safer method of holding the camera. but yea this video is nice. work it pamela :D
