Yeah it sure is. I just want to note here I was only testing this fan to see what it could do. Its by far to powerful for any real use and dangerous at that, it can take a finger off real easy.
I could feel the force of this fan over 6 feet away LOL
But in the end 2 normal case fans performed almost just as good with out the noise and air blast coming from it.
@steelekilla101 If it's a fighter, I'm pretty sure it's just going to ram into the other and SHRED THEM TO RIBBONS BECAUSE DELTA SCARES THE PISS OUT OF ME.
You can really feel the air flow 3 feet away from the heat sink. But this thing can be very unsafe if not held down tight, or without a fan guard, watch your fingers ;)
@BuckeyeVideos I don't think it can chop your fingers off. It spins so fast that you can't even get your fingers between the blades. It'd be like running your finger along pavement, not like sticking it in a blender. I have the FFB1212VHE that puts out 151.85cfm at 3200rpm and when I put my finger on the blades while it's spinning it just gives a tingly sensation. BTW, if you do this and get your finger chopped off, don't blame me. Try it with a piece of cardboard, it won't chop it up.
Yeah the fan I used here is way over kill and does not perform all that well considering. I used 2 funky old case fans in push pull and wan't all that much different in temps. The Sycthe fans will do a pretty good job, but I have been told that high CFM sanyo fans are the ones to get.
The Mega Fast might do better if it was in a ducted setup, I don't know. It's just to loud really, louder than my Cascade LOL.
im thinking of getting a delta 190cfm fan for the pull side of the megahalem cooling which i can adjust via a fan controller for when things get hot, but, its like 30 amps for that fan which only one fan controller can handle, and it looks crap lol
I got myself the revision B megahalem with 2 sycthe sff21F fans in push/pull; its going to arrive in a few days
you should have gotten a TRUE, megahalems temperature difference between medium cfm fans and high cfm fans is is extremely minimal... while the TRUE has much better temperatures between medium fans and high fans
also the megahalem almost see's no temperature drops past a 150cfm fan while the TRUE does
what do u do on that system? its so loud, u can possible use a mic and vent
Can i overclock my Pentium 4 to 5 Ghz now?

But , the fan is on the left , should be on the right side of the heatsink , so the air blows out the back.

maybe its inside of a Silverstone case ?
