All engines use all, 2-strocks burn it as it runs 4-strocks dont burn it but you need change it. The spry tail dose use the cooling discharge but most of the cooling water goes out elsewhere, it just a stupid thing that Yamaha came up with as a safety thing so boats could see the ski better and who ever said the only sea-doos need oil is a fucking retard an is in a big surprise when they take their car to the dealer for a service and get ripped off for an oil change
The spout in the back has nothing to do with cooling. Its purely cosmetic and most riders fill them or delete them. All jet skis use oil, and if your not good luck with your engine rebuild. The oil doesnt cool the ski it lubricates it. most skis are cooled by the water drawn in from the jet pump.
Maybe you girls should try riding a real ski (stand up)
@shadow7874 the upwards spout on some ski's was started and is used so you know our motors getting cooling water ,I have seen it advertised as such in a kawasaki brochure, similar in design to the piss stream out the back of every outboard motor made since the 50's no piss stream somethings wrong inside the motor etc. im sure it helps ski's be seen in rough surf and stuff too. and im sure your right it wouldn't be hard to change either. 2 stroke mix oil and gas 4 stroke's have oil like a car.
@foo444 My yamaha originally came with the spout in the back which i have filled. It is tapped directly into the pump and doesnt go near the cooling system. There is a nothing line in the pump that feeds the cooling and has its own pisser on the side of the ski (some skis dump it all in the exhaust). That being said some skis may integrate the spout into the cooling system but it seems pretty impractical and i doubt you would get nearly enough pressure. Its normally directly from the pump.
i Know it duznt =P....its actually there for protection. Yamaha claimed since jetskis are hard to be seen, the spray lets other boaters know its a jetski. I said that because every1 thinks its 4 cooling when its not haha
You Know what your doing yeah, but why are you talking stupid then. Were all here to have some fun. Im not trying to have competiton. You have triple pipe gpr. Thats awesome man, mad props. But don't go around bashing me.
practice what you preach, dont talk if you dont know.....you should change your name to THEJOKE....... go buy a ski or even just look at one, or talk to someone who has one and you can SEE it has NOTHING to do with COOLING.... but i wouldnt know ive only got 3 in my garage,,right... when you were born the doctor should have slapped your mom....... get a CLUE....
idk if thats the cooling water but still it wouldnt matter because ur not pulling off the intake, ur pulling the output hose off. If ur standing in front of what im talking about ull understand. otherwise its kind of complicated unless u have the diagrams memorized
