Go to "06 Test mode", hit 'Next' twice to get to the 3rd page and then select "EVRC-B" from the 'Service option' pull-down (which is the first item on the page) and hit 'Back' to return to the main menu. Next, select "11 CMAS Test Settings", and select "Enabled" then hit 'Apply'.

The Menu is there but no Vocode option on my new Droid X replacement I got. Blue tooth and WiFi went out on my last one, screen died on the one before that. Not having much luck with the Droid X but I still love it. =)

i changed mine from evrc-a to evrc-b and it got better because anyone without a cdma device had trouble understanding me unless i talked slowly so if you have anyone complaining move it to the lowest quality which is 14k it does the trick and people can understand you finally

@zx322a Yes it works for the Milestone as well. Although some Milestones will accept the hex six zero code as well.

Turn the handset volume down and it will improve. The phone is loud and recycles the sound back into the phone. So if you turn it down it should improve.
