Hey everyone, I'm prescribed 240 80mg Oxycontin's and 180 2mg Xanax bars a month for my cystic fibrosis and am willing to help anybody out who is in pain and needs some meds for cheap but can't afford a doctor/medicine for whatever reason. I get them covered by my insurance but in the past have had to pay for it myself and know how expensive they can be! There are a lot of drugs out there that when properly taken will help (by prescription, or if your not an idiot and can understand basic human biology). Most any drug has the potential to help someone (where the end outweighs the means) but with that said that doesn't mean that, even the best doctor, can write you a prescription and you all of a sudden have some magical guarantee that won't suffer the consequences of opiate addiction. Sorry.
...and a doctor will only EVER tell you to take a fast acting opiate every day only if you are in CONSTANT pain (i.e. a broken bone, chemotherapy, etc.) other than that, doctor will say take as needed. That means take it every day only if you have to. The way the doctor sees it, he is just trying to help with the pain. The ends outweigh the means, in the doctors eyes you using opiates (potentially every day) for pain outweighs an addiction which "can be treated". It's not right, but it IS.

Yes, I agree, but oxycontin , along with hydromorph contin is certainly not easy to get at all. Even Here in Canada, although they are legal for those who need them, in order to get them you have to actually sign an agreement and get a licence from your doctor and go through tedious long processes to get them; they are very tightly regulated.
And I remember when it first came out, purdue DID say that there was a chance of being addicted to it; now just because they didn't at the time say that it was hiiiiiiiiighly addictive or whatnot doesn't really make a difference, because the intelligent person would take caution just when told that they are in any way addictive

I'm sorry that some mother lost her daughter to oxycontin, but the case I was reading on indicated that the girl was buying them illegaly, and she was not prescribed them for pain.
