No one who has ever competed in an MMA tournament has ever went through even 1/4 of the rigorous training nor is as dedicated as the shaolin. To learn real wu-shu and types of martial arts like that, it takes a lifetime to really learn and understand it. Going to the Qufu Shaolin Kung Fu School China, time-wise, depends on the time you can visit china, some go for a month others for a year. Go to your embassy for more info how long you can stay in China and/or contact the Qufu Shaolin Kung Fu School China on their website.

if the chinese kung fu was great martial art.........why Jegins Khan conquest entire north empires of china in the year 1211 ??Mongols didnt khows kung fu,they were perfect archers and horse raiders only!!!!But chinese in these years ,knew already kung fu-wu shu-tai chi etc.and they were specialists at it!So as a martial art kung fu,where was its contribution against the barbarians mongols who didnt know kung fu?May be kung fu isnt for real fights?anyone can answer???

@JJSSBJ i wish i was born there... It's so hard to learn it now, when your older... I am learning it, but i'm 17 years old.. it's really hard.. i went to china twice, to train there with real monks.. but even 5year old kids are better developed than me...

The only accurate sound effect is the swords around 5:30. Those swords are a really thin metal and are made so they make that sound.

Those computer-game effects put on top of old traditional monks are absurd. National Geographic taking the piss out of shaolin monks - so, so stupid :D
A fist hitting out in the air doesn't say *SWOSH* and especially not when the nearest microphone 30 ft. away (inside the camera).

We should take some cues from these people. For example their training methods (a part of it), and some principles. Also, these guys don't use "belt ranking systems", which is good; no envy, no useless competitions, no discrimination, etc. This is about a way of life, not sports or contests.
