  • Good lad Nick, bloody chavs, get a job instead

  • Good for him - he's trying to do his job and he's being usurped by someone with a banner

I agree with the protest, but sometimes the general public get on your nerves (on purpose)

I've been on protests, I would have tried the same trick with my banner - tough tits if I got this treatment.

I don't think he cared about the protest aims per se, he was just annoyed that the banner got in the way of the shot - like those annoying people who pull faces & wave their arms behind someone who's filming

  • @brixtonbluebeat Its actually a few laws and legislations which regard his actions. The easy one is Breach of the Peace for which anyone can make an arrest. Another would be common law assault. Another Criminal Damage, etc. I don't like having to listen to someone else's music or phone conversations on the train. It does not give me the right to remove said phone and throw it out the window. There is no excuse for this type of action.

  • Stop paying your license until he is sacked.

  • Looks like a cunt...is a cunt. Nothing more to say.

  • Nick is a Dick who would prefer other peoples sons and daugthers fighting in a war for Oil and Power while it kills hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

  • He is a total dick but soooooo fucking funny to watch that i am glad he is a reporter. He came in last place on topgear race track lol!!

  • Brill what is this man doing working for the BBC he is such a BIAS reporter in favor of the tories

  • a right cunt that robinson

  • The guy is a prick. Just watched yet another BBC shit docu-propaganda (serious social experiment...in their eyes) production with this asshole at the helm.

The street that cut everything. Watch it, please, I would love to have feedback.

  • As for Nick Robinson, he's just another petty Tory Boy upset that people are expressing their democratic right to protest (and against an immoral and illegal war).

Such childish rage against BBC Licence fee payers who effectively pay Robinson's salary. If the little warmonger loves violence so much maybe he can join the army and attack something other than 'placards'.

As Bruce Lee said "boards don't fight back".

  • @fazure

You cannot spell either. It's "loses". Plus the only thing that is invalid is your logic.

  • hahaha 0:29 another sign goes up

  • Yay for nick robinson

  • nick robinsons cool U should bbe a shamed of urself

  • Is this action any different to an anarchist group smashing a window? and if not what shame should the anarchists feel?

  • Comment removed

  • Haahahahahahha. Good for you Nick! Bwaahahahhahahaha. Classic.

  • Fair enough if you're no fan of Nick Robinson but you have to agree that protestor is an idiot.

  • Nick Robinson Laddd, what a legend.

  • I've just watched this utter wankbag on BBC news getting at student protestors for property damage on the streets of London.

  • @gmcken99 even my parents - stalwart (unquestioning) supporters of the police, called him a smug dickhead after seeing him report.

  • @gmcken99

Right.. So presumably people who damage property on the streets of London are above reproach?

  • @fodsaks Exactly!

  • @gmcken99

I see. A curious attitude, but nonetheless intriguing,

  • Next time I see Nick Robinson I will remove his head from his shoulders and stamp on it, as I find it rather offensive.

  • 2 edits the other one shows what was on the other side of the sign

    See Nick Robinson looses it

  • @expurgatetor Sorry Expurgatetor, there were 2 edits the other one shows what was on the other side of the sign

    See Nick Robinson looses it

  • "Nation shall speak peace unto Nation"

  • He shouldent be ashamed. He is a professional trying to do his job. If you don't put in you don't get back. People need to stop putting their hand out, but the government does need to give people a hand up. Too much free money. Being on benefits is like having a lisence to print money.

  • @expurgatetor Are you kidding? License to print money? What a disgusting thing to say, it's people like you that confirm my belief that the tories really are scum

  • Nick Robinson is a complete mong. Seriously. I can't watch news at ten on BBC1.

  • Have you changed it from 'looses' to 'losses' as a joke? If not, please review this sequence of letters carefully: L. O. S. E. S.

If it's a joke that plays off the previous misspelling though, fair play.

  • Less time protesting. More time working. Less time talking crap and more contributing. Good for Nick Robinson. Boo hoo peace protesters. Losers.

  • @willwaddington1

    WELL SAID!!!!

  • who ever put this on has not got a life shame on you

  • what a tw@

  • Well done nick! Too bad you didn't give the rock spider a good thrashing.

  • Good on Nick!

  • How dare someone demonstrate that he is human. I don't condone what he did, but it amazes me that everyone finds this moral high ground as if they would be completley unflappable under annoying situations.

  • That's theft and criminal damage. Should have been reported to the police.

  • @uktokers , it's no wonder the parents in your neighborhood all keep their young boy children away from you!

  • Good on Nick Robinson! He should go down to Parliament Square and trash all the banners! When you sign up to be in the army one of the main job descriptions is to FIGHT WHEN YOU'RE YOU'RE TOLD AND NOT QUESTION THE REASONS. If you can't handle that then don't sign up! If we had all these bloody liberals asking to "bring our boys back home' during the Forties we'd all be speaking German right now.

  • @GodlessCowboy You truely have no idea how the real world works. "if it wasn't for the soliders we'll all be speaking german." parrot parrot parrot. authorised propaganda London and wall street funded the rise of hitler and the russia revolution, people to need to wake up to who really runs the world. I ain't gonna tell you. research for yourself.

  • THIS INVASION IS AWFULLY SLUGGISH. ITS MORE LIKE A MINOR AMERICAN UNREST.

  • So he should be fucking ahsamed of himself. Stupid tory.

  • @Elz630 Why should he be ashamed of himself? His whole job as a news reporter/journalist is to create an unbiased piece of work so that people can decide for themselves what to believe in, and its impossible to do that with a huge slogan in the background telling otherwise. Personally I don't agree with the war either, cant see why we are still there, but if I was in the same position as Nick Robinson I would probably do the same as he did.

  • @BraceletAccumulatrT2 Unbias? you call that unbiased? It's important for protestors to get noticed and get coverage or we won't make any progress. All that was a peaceful protest and his response was child like and frankly immoral. If you would do the same as him then you obviously don't disagree with the war. Come on stand up for something for fuck's sake.

  • @nickthelight

i dont think the troops think it is a pathetic question, its their lives you terrorists are throwing away

    cunt!

  • @mostecri

Oh I see, sorry I hadn't realised you were equating the worth of a war against the number of British troop deaths as opposed to the Iraqi casualties.

  • @nickthelight

im equating the worth of making the defense contractors even more wealthy to the risk of more innocent people dying.

its called having morals, you should try it

  • Ppl r so stupid , go hug a tree you smelly hippys

  • I saw Dispatches last night and have always been against the war yet I can still understand why Nick did that, he's just human & that would've been pretty irritating to me too.

  • macho man nick,

hey, hey, hey macho macho man,he's gonna be a macho man

  • If anybody wants to look closely, you will see that the protestor had sprayed silly string all over Nick Robinson's back while he was doing the broadcast.

Don't purposely go out of your way to piss somebody off and then act all wronged because they behave like someone who is pissed off!

  • This message to the troops and anti-war movements was brought to you by the Conservative Party.

  • I'm still wondering why he should be ashamed.

  • Good for Nick - think I'll vote for him.

  • Lol, I thought that said cut the war not the poop at first..

  • I'd like to hear his reasons before condemning him completely....

Was it in frustration at the interruption to the undertaking of his job or was it in a counter protest to the opinion expressed on the placard?

If the former, he looks foolish at best and if the latter then the insight into his personal agenda is damning!

  • Something we can all agree on;

The narrow minded troll throwing abuse is the one who should be ashamed of himself, why blame nick Robinson, he's a news reporter, not the bloody prime - minster.

  • @AKATSUKIxRobbie

This guy and all of corporate media, are the "soft power" that contol us everyday; tell us the lies, switch the story, change the subject, focus on celebrity gossip and not facts about how America and its allies invaded two countries and all based on "stories" they don't want to be questioned about, nor have us remember. WMD..Mobile Weapons Labs...Dr. Keylly's "death" (cough, cough) and on and on and on and on; lies, lies, lies, lies. Mr. Robinson, is just one of the liars.

  • @SuspiciousPatriot Irelevant comment, im not saying the BBC are justified or decent, im saying the guy in the background is a moron.

  • @AKATSUKIxRobbie - I'm just saying that the guy "on camera" is not only a moron, but a liar. And if someone has to do what the protestor has done, simply to get on air, because there is no other means by which for him to do so, because free access is not granted to the "common"...then good for him. I wish more would do it. All these reporters get to say what they want, when they want and go unchallenged. What's fair about that? WMD...Mobile labs...Kelly killed himself...blah...blah...blah.

  • He's a shameless tory, and he shouldn't be working for the BBC. Fuck off to Sky Nick. You'll love it there.

  • @MrJohnMurdoch makes a change considering the whole bbc is a shitty far left organistation.

  • lol I commend him

Why is he the one getting blamed?

He's only a reporter, fuck the other guy.

  • He should be ashamed of himself. Pompous pillock.

  • If that's really what you would consider 'Losing the plot', you must have led a very sheltered life, dear boy.

  • I see Mr. Robinson is still not wearing his hat!

  • Robinson has exposed himself for being both vain and politically conservative. He was the nearly man after Andrew Marr, gets his moment and has become increasingly bombastic and Coalition-Light ever since. One of the BBC grandees who signed against the strike. No surprises here then.

  • YOU SOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF MATE, YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED, SAME ON YOU MATE... SAME ON OYU.

  • @denfrancos also the fact that most bankers played no part in teh fiasco and infact they contribute teh most to teh governments taxes and are the ones paying for the wars and the economy problems and david cameron shouldn't take shit for going to one of the best schools in britain becuase it shows he is intelligent and cultured as oppose to being a moron from some shit school

  • @DinaanBumm Don't be so blind: Cameron going to Eton was a result of his parents being able to fork out £30,000 a year in fees. Then there were the fees for his prep school. That shows he was privileged.

  • @boymizzou yes and whats wrong with that its not his fault his family is rich and its not his fault that he was sent to very good although exclusive school and whats wrong with being privilleged if you had the money to send a child to a very good school giving them the best possible education you would do it.

  • @denfrancos see here i disagree with you dad who pays more than half is salary to teh governmetn in taxes, is an upstanding moral person, works in the city, went to eaton, he earns a fair bit of cash not millions in bonus' but works for a company and is mid level in a small team. He is not a wanker banker neither are his friends in the banking sector which IS THE ONLY THING MAKING THIS COUNTRY ANY MONEY. so before you started calling out all bankers for a minorities mistakes dont cont...

  • i cant believe how many people are defending nick on this one,he could have just laughed it off

  • You could have put the rest of the conversation on so that we could have all revelled in the joy of watching an illiterate twat getting comprehensively verbally schooled by someone who has more intelligence in his glasses than you have in your entire body.

Shame on YOU you fucking clown.

  • @denfrancos How has Robinson violated the protester's freedom of speech? It's only a violation when people are forced not to express their views; all Robinson did was smash a piece of cardboard, he didn't silence the protester.

A lot of people who watch the news regularly on the BBC want to hear the story, and not someone waving a banner in the background, bothering people who want to see the news, and the reporters themselves. Also, how did Robinson 'lose it'? That all seemed rather civil.

  • Robinson has always been my favourite man at the BBC.

He's honest, cutting-edge, and he doesn't put up with those pesky sandal-wearing naysayers, as this video clearly shows.

    Give the man a bonus!

  • shame on you, mate

  • Nick Robinson is great.. personally id have battered the persons head with it if he'd been so ill-mannered and shoved a sign up whilst i was working.. No amount of protest is going to stop these necessary cuts, so give it break..

Give Nick a promotion for having the balls to actually do something about the idiots!

  • "YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF."

"I'm not remotely ashamed of myself-"

"YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF."

"Why should I be ashamed of myself?"

    *end of video*

YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF

  • @denfrancos thats moronic has it occurred that he asked the person to move it. what about last year when there were mass protests in teh city of london and protesters destroyed a bank how much do you think that cost everybody.

  • Is there NOT something called the EUROPEAN CONVENTION On HUMAN RIGHTS in the UK ?

ECHR Article 10 gives ALL Citizens - NOT just [Very Highly Paid] BBC Reporters - the LEGAL RIGHT to exercise FREEDOM OF SPEECH - irrespective of PROVOCATION or attempts to Silence FREE SPECH by the Authorities or Agents as BBC licensed through their Royal Charter which in Reality is granted by the Prime Minister [exercising the Royal Prerogative] through the PM's appointee as Secretary of State at the DCMS...

  • Why is everyone spelling lose as loose?

  • @vonny471 Because they're illiterate morons?

  • @vonny471 "looses it", "losses it"?

Nick handled that very well indeed

  • Is there NOT something called the EUROPEAN CONVENTION On HUMAN RIGHTS in the UK ?

  • @youpolitics Free speech does not mean a person has the right to disrupt a television broadcast.

  • Looses the plot? Looks more like he tightened it.

  • nick robinson is a legend

  • @prospekttt How? He's an idiot who's crap at his job.

  • @prospekttt Nick Robinson is a dog end.

  • @prospekttt I really, really hope you ignorant twats watched Dispatches today. Besides that Nick Robinson was in a public space and what he did constitutes criminal damage, it doesn't mtter whether he was "trying to do his job" or not. If I tried to sell fruit from a market stall, and someone was talking loudly on their phone in front of me it would still be criminal damage if I grabbed it and smashed it for christs sake...

  • @XArcane Criminal damage? A piece of cardboard on a wooden pole is not worth anything you numpty!

  • @graemeoliver84 Doesn't mean it isn't still someone's property. Should've charged him for theft as well, gotten him an ASBO. Doesn't matter if it's a television broadcast or not, if it's in a publlic space those people have the right to be there, and he does not have the right to do that.

  • @XArcane That's total bollocks.

  • yeah, cut him off at his response, SMOOTH MOVE

  • @Tales7777

yeah we invaded afghanistan so we could nick their opium fields. you are retarded.

  • @inflivia

I agree times in general aren't so good at the moment. I guess we'll agree to disagree on the other bits :)

  • Nick Robinson cares about the war, he just didn't want the incredibly disrupting and obstructive campaigner behind him, while he was giving a report on a very important issue.

  • @MikeFromTheUK1 Have every right to protest the war? You don't just go and mess up someone's country and then just leave you idiot. The military has to finish their job there, or they would have only worsen the situation. The war is against insurgents, and the people there needs foreign help to fight them off, how fucking selfish can you get, worrying about how much benefits you get when you already get alot when compared to others, while people in Iraq worry about their lives.

  • @DoraTheDino yeh lets carry on a war a retard cowboy started.... im suprised it took us this long to see sense.

  • @TheBarryviper I don't know if the war was started for the right or wrong reasons. But because that has already happened and you can't change it, you can't just drop everything and leave. What the fuck are the people there with their lives ruined by the war going to do after the armies are gone? Get it in your head, what's done cannot be undone, now they are trying to salvage it, and to tell them to pull out and worsen the situation as compared to under Saddam? That's fucking selfish.

  • "These troops, dying for what?"

Prick, maybe he and anyone else should rewind the clock to 9/11, 7/7, The Mumbai Gun Attack, The Trade Centre Bombing, the Bombing of the British Embassy in Turkey, the suicide attack on the USS Cole, the Mali Bombings, the hate campaign led by Islam4UK, the failed Atlantic Bombings.....

That's what we are fighting for- to protect our citizens from those things ever happening again.

I actually start basic training for the army in April, I know what I'm getting my

  • @HolyEmpire1 Yeah, go sacrifice your life for capitalists. I hope a road side bomb disables you for life, then maybe you'll learn and realize.

  • the BBC - telling you what to believe - and making you pay for the luxury... f**king c**nts the lot of them but this prick just about sums them up

  • Nick Robinson reports the news, and is surely giving these protesters what they want, air time.. so whether the war is right or wrong, he's surely got no reason to be ashamed!

  • @MikeFromTheUK1 "Cuts are ridiculous"? Do you know the amount of welfare British citizens get as compared to citizens of other countries? Some people might be jealous, while others call the British government STUPID for providing everything for its people, and doing so will only result in the people depending on the government for everything, which is the situation right now, British people whining and protesting all day long over cuts.

  • Comment removed

  • @MikeFromTheUK1 He is a god damn news reporter, how does his job relate to the Nazi for goodness sake? If you are gonna criticse what I said, at least make it relevant.

  • Hello press the sub button to me and I auto sub back!!!!! Do it now!!!!! :) Also Friend Request Me!

  • punckass britt's, bunch of loonatics

  • stick that poster up in his ars

  • @MikeFromTheUK1

    Look up Godwin's Law.

  • woooo

  • What a load of crap not only did he not lose it he just took away the sign you tried to highjack his newscast with and here you are stool trying to use his name because it is known to further your own cause. No matter how good your cause is you won't advance it by being a con artist which you clearly are. You should be ashamed of yourself. To coin a phrase

  • Arrogant self righteous PRICK it's all clear now..

  • Ha Ha brilliant, "you should be ashamed of yourself mate!" i can only imagine this man as a scruffy looking fellow with dreadlocks and a half degree in psychology because he couldnt afford to keep up his student loan bill because he was putting it to the man too much lol

  • I love the way people say he's against free speech for doing this, yet the video cuts off in such a convenient place as to not show the reply he gives to the, what sounds to be, complete thug. Maybe the original video creator was embarrassed about the lack of intellectual content that "you should be ashamed of yourself" had in terms of creating a debate.

  • @TheHatra Also, all televised journalism is strictly regulated, not just the BBC, in order to keep impartiality as high as possible. So for those saying those protestors were expressing the right free speech, they were actually breaking these regulations, and so technically breaking the law, as there was no opposite opinion in order to balance this out.

  • @TheHolySpirit

he isn't denying the guy the right to hold up the sign he's just pissed off that the guy is waving it behind his head. I'm not sure where you live but the government in my country is pretty good as far as democracy is concerned. We don't have a dictator and all the mp's are elected in fairly. sounds democratic to me.

  • @mexicanchiliman It's actually the illusion of a Democracy hidden within a Corporatocracy (possibly hidden within a Plutocracy).. but hey ho it "sounds" democratic so that'll have to do, won't it. Don't question it. Obey your masters, they know best.

  • He did the right thing, just doing his job and some idiot behind him has to interrupt it with a stupid sign? And for goodness sake, all the people in this 'peace strike' only care about themselves. Do you know the situation there? You don't just mess up someone's country and just leave like that, if the troops do leave, what are they going to do? They will practically be slaves to the violence of the insurgencies with no plans at all to stabilise the country. Selfish bastards.

  • @inflivia

sorry my comments have got a bit muddled and out of order. on your last point, my local liberal democrat mp is not one of 'that group' and he is up there in politics so he is at least one who doesn't apply to that generalisation. I'm sure there are many others.

  • @mexicanchiliman I'm not saying there aren't exceptions or good people who care about the nation in politics. It's just that if you don't say the right things at the right times, you aren't getting anything more than a walk-on part. Same goes for much of mainstream journalism. It hasn't always been like this, it comes and goes and power shifts around. But we've got it bad at the moment :(

  • He's just a presenter?

it's not his fault the troops are still in,

Stop hatin' on him for trying to do his job

  • Troops dying for our freedom, security and Oil

  • Nick Robinson NWO shill.

  • little turd

  • Give the man a promotion.

  • @XDennace

Exactly, fucking hippies should go get a job and they wouldn't be "poor" instead of wasting their time harrassing innocent news people.

  • @XDennace hes chief political correspondent and editor you can get much higher

  • @XDennace Give him more money to bullshit over the news channel while everyone is being cut you're a sheep boy.

  • @XDennace Why? He's rubbish.

  • Ok right so the protester argument appears to go. He took down the sign expressing his views that the war in Afghanistan is just and right and therefore nick robinson believes that the killing of civilians is alright.

The others think that the sign was getting in mr robinsons' face while he was trying to do a news report. Also the BBC remained impartial because this happened after he finished the report and he is exercising his rights to protest as were the people around him

  • Nick Robinson took the banner down because he knew it had effected his report. His report wasn't about peace and bringing troops home it was specifically about the deficit. The protester distracted attention away from this report. Because of this you don't know that Nick Robinson disagrees with the general topic of the protest. Personally I happen to agree with the argument, it does seem very logical.

  • Comment removed

  • @dub6358 Ok, let's use your rationale. If your child toiled over a cardboard sign for a project at school, and some thug took it and broke it, how would you feel? Would it be Criminal damage then, maybe?

You can't pick and choose law. It's either there or it's not. You either live in a democracy or you don't. There's either free speech or there's not. What do you want?

  • thats not really what i would call ape, it is an asshole move though

  • Protester FAIL, Reporter WIN!

  • Looked like Nick Robinson is responsible for Criminal Damage there. I hope he's being prosecuted. Has anyone let his employer know about this? They *should* take a very dim view on a seemingly respected member of their staff behaving like this.

  • Nothing remotely resembling losing the plot there mate.

  • "looses the plot"

    *loses.

Dont polute our streets with your Daily Mirror superlative scare-monger tactics. He broke a sign that was behind him as he was trying to work.

  • @olliebaker shut the fuck up Oliver twist
