2. Stand on your pegs with the balls of your feet. push your self into the turn in a sideways squatting motion. Bracing the inside thigh of your outside leg against the tank can help depending on your build.
1. Brake and set up for the turn in advance, not at the last second. By set up, I mean assume the correct posture, and hold it through the turn, that is... step 2.
First of all let me apologize for my absence, I've been busy but I'm back now. It seems that a lot of you (riders) have the idea that sticking your knee out and touching it as close to the ground is necessary in one way or another. That is false! When taking turns at high speeds there are 3 or so main things you need to know. I turned them into 3 statements:
Lol 4:39 is the corner I crashed in, but I was coming the opposite direction. I see the white fairing is still in that ditch too! You two are much better than me! How long have u been riding?
Thanks for the safety tips guys. I've recently slowed down to work on my form in the turns. In addition, I have increased my following distance for safety. It feels good to know all you viewers care about my well being. I will be posting more vids soon. I'm replacing and dropping a tooth on my front sproket, adding a new chain and adding a performance rear scock on the bike. my r6 is very bad arsh, I'm very proud of it, I'l list all the mods i've added in my next post
Nice vid, but ride safer if u wanna make more! Check out my redwood rd crash vid; I came out with minor scrapes and bruises. But I couldve Been worse had I been riding as fast as u. Stay safe
@nickgnaime Thanks Nick!! haha I'm not worrying about touching my knee. I used to try and it got me into bits of trouble hehe. Yup gotta love them twisties!
@laviedamie yah that happens with my right knee, gets me in trouble. My left is always on the floor though, I think it's because my left leg is more flexible. I'm gonna start stretching my right leg more to help
@nickgnaime You know, I'm pretty sure the majority of riders have the same problem. I think it's harder to lean right because of how the throttle's in our right hand. So, when we try to lean we want to keep our right arm in the same position and it feels awkward to have to move it. Yadda? :)
@laviedamie yup I agree with that. But I've recently watched footage of me from the back on some twisty roads and it's obvious that my right leg just won't stick out as far as my left. It tends to go forward and down, but not out. But yah it's hard to put the throttle under your chin and open your legs up to right turns fo sho. Yadda??
@BoxyDevel true...just saying...maybe she and other people doesnt think she can...i used to think i couldnt...then somebody told me i could....and then i did it! lol..youre right though...
@laviedamie yea, well i was just saying you def had the lean angle to do it...you got some great lines...i almost didnt want to believe it was you! lol...
@laviedamie its not that i thought you were a bad rider...i just didnt expect you to be so good....lol...this is the first time ever seeing you ride hard like that....after watching ashfoots vids i somewhat figured all girls were like...scared to ride hard or something.... idk...you proved me wrong...you should def make another vid....ps that road is sick! lol
@Clutchisback1 haha thanks.. though I have a feeling ashfoot's real good in the twisties. I really wanna see her ride lol. I'm so lazy to vlog now. :P
@laviedamie yea me too...i was gonna say i think youre better but i didnt want any animosity...lol...she always like obeys the laws and what not....i feel you on the lazy bit...i can never think of anything to vlog about....lol...i ask people to make suggestions and no one ever does...and when they do i get hits! lol...i dont have hardly any subs...lol
@Clutchisback1 hahah hey hey, when we're vlogging we're not about to weave through cars! What kind of example would that make of motorcyclists? ha but anyway, I suck so bad at vlogging I've basically given up. One of these days I might make one
@laviedamie nahh...you dont suck...i suck..lol..ive got like 5 subs...lol...i dont think its possible for a female rider...thats good...on a gixer 600 to suck at vlogging...i guess that includes ashfoot too...plus your in CA....im in KY..KY is anal lube....thats how you know the state sucks....its always rains here...and there are barely any stores around...i could go on all day...trust me...youre vlogs are far from boring...
Ami your riding skills have improved!!! I remember your first videos... You weren't that aggressive with flicking your bike and weaving around cars at high speeds. Way to go...
@shlomor6 The footage came out perfect. There's also safety involved when following too close mate. So I think it was pretty sweet. You were pretty close already.
@shlomor6 your distance is okay...but close is never bad...yawll had some good lines...ive watched this vid like 10 times...lol...prolly more than that...
@shlomor6 bad idea broh. if you follow her too closely you are setting yourself up for bad things. If she late breaks into a turn and all you're doing is following her closely, that could catch you offguard and u'll either hit her or eat shit or both. Trust me I've done it! And at 3:38 WTF r u thinking? is that the result of you trying to stay close behind her too? Stay safe broh! None of that shit!
you guys are nuts
