Frankie is a great singer and his concerts were excellent......they just can't make good music these days.....there is famous record producer that has said that todays music really sucks !...yeah we know
An incredible piece of music from a group that is much celebrated, yet in my opinion, still hasn't gotten the recognition it deserves in the history of Rock. I've seen them in concert several times. They give 100 % to their audience. Frankie Valli is one of a kind, thank you for posting this.
What a great song and what wonderful memories from the summer of 1975! (And notice how the oldies stations pretend 1970 - 1975 never existed! Seals and Crofts, Mac Davis, Carole King, Tony Orlando, John Denver, The Osmonds, Paul Anka, Bobby Sherman, etal ALL MISSING!)
I love Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. This song is one of my favorites ever. I really can imagine this song on the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack ...
It was a clear crisp autumn night 1975. I'm in my 72 Nova SS headed up the Stevenson express way from the suburbs to Chicago. I glance over and see my girlfriend in her bell bottom jeans, her long dark hair and those emerald green eyes smiling at me. This song was playing on the radio. At that moment all was right in the world.
I saw them at a club in Lauderdale called Mr. Pips, around 1980, the place was packed because everybody loved the 4 Seasons and they were not that far removed from making hits, their music was still the soundtrack of my generation, the stuff we heard as little kids when we first fell in love with music, so the show sold out and I was lucky enough to get a seat front & center.
Mr. Pips booked all the A LIST Groups back then (Spinners, etc.), I saw most of them, but the 4 Seasons were the best.
Fantastic video of Frankie Valli back in '75! Thank you SO MUCH for posting this! If you're taking requests, I'd love for you to post the Four Seasons performing "Who Loves You" from this same episode!
@jerseyboysblog same here. i went to see them a lot in the 1970's. they sounded very electrifying @ that time w/ the unit of Don Ciccone, Joe Long, Lee Shapiro, Gerry Polci, & John Paiva. i wish they would release DVD's from that era. i've met & shook hands w/ all of them. fine mannered men.****

Frankie hit #6 in Billboard, 7-26-75. Female soloist on the studio version is none other than Patti Austin. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!
