  • joder que par de dos, de lo mejorcito

  • belinda,and a great group,great song

  • I saw Then Jerico during SOPOT Song & Music Festival in Poland in early 90'. They were great BAND indeed!

  • great band, great album ,steve wren was such an underated drummer

  • I probably ought to add before I start getting comments of the; "Why are you here if you don't like Then Jericho?" variety - or is it already too late for that?! - that I do really like this song and even went so far as buying the single. Imagine that! Personally feel this was by far their best track and that it deserved to get much higher in the charts than no. 31 or thereabouts. Yes, Mark Shaw was gorgeous but God didn't he know it!

  • @MisAnnThorpe Oh God yes was Mark Shaw gorgeous. Too stunning for words. Be still my beating heart.....

  • Great song. Missed this one the first time round.

  • Great song. Missed this one the first time round.

  • come on mark get this great band back together the revival sounds good

  • miss these guys they were one of my fave bands from the 80's wish they would make a comeback

  • they could have been as big as U2 if they'd stuck together.

  • @raspberrybaggio

    Fuck U2

  • @raspberrybaggio I have to start by saying that I am not a fan of U2 but that claim is just ridiculous. I remember Then Jericho receiving a hell of a lot of publicity when they 1st came on the scene - more than they deserved imho - and the fact that they never really made it, in their case, was down to the songs not being strong enough. So the truth is yeah, they could have been as big as U2 IF they'd had the songs! Which they didn't.

  • @MisAnnThorpe No. Sorry. Disagree. But then music is a personal taste so nobody is wrong or right. But their songs are pure class. Original. Fresh even today. Talent by the bucket load. It's an absolute travesty Then Jerico never got any further than they did. They should have been massive. Still winds me up when I think about it. What in the name of God went wrong?

  • @sunray1100 Well they can't complain that their relative lack of success was due to insufficient publicity or promotion, - unlike The Durutti Column or Talk Talk, circa Spirit of Eden/Laughing stock - so I can only conclude that the public heard them and just didn't understand what all the fuss was about. Admittedly the general public are appalling judges of quality but I think on this occasion maybe they got it right. I'd be very happy to be proved wrong. What tracks do you suggest I listen to?

  • Goota say like the song. Looove looking at Mark Shaw. Oh yes I still would!

  • @eileend100 You may love looking at Mark Shaw but I'm sure you don't enjoy looking at Mark Shaw half as much as Mark Shaw did! That man must have gone through mirrors like other people go through traffic lights. Still that's the downside of beauty; it's only temporary.

  • @MisAnnThorpe My God those mirrors were lucky......

  • @eileend100 Me too. And I did years ago.....!

  • classic

  • this is a classic, powerful and awesome and belinda just adds that bit of class to very underrated band thanks

  • que fuerte .................. esta musica jamas pasara en el tiempo. siempre existira y perdudara.

  • one of our missed opportunities - someone should have made this band enourmous

  • @dannyg21660 it was mark shaws fault that they didnt

  • GREAT SONG.

    Miss those days.

  • well i love this song one of my favorites but never knew belinda sang in it you learn something new everyday

  • thanks for this. I had begun to think I'd just imagined this on some Saturday morning kids music show when I was young...but it does exist!

  • Thanx for this vid, haven't seen it in almost 20 years!

  • oh how I love Belinda

  • so good !

  • Comment removed

  • the album was brilliant. just a shame that ego boy fucked up what could have been an amazing band!!!

  • @martymarts67

Couldn't agree more. They were just about to become massive, then Mark Shaw decides he already is, and leaves. Oh well, at least those who remember them can still enjoy those two excellent albums they made in the '80s.

  • @guv859 Maybe the album should have been called "Big Ego"!

  • @MisAnnThorpe Nice one ;)

  • @guv859 yep you hit the nail on the head there , could have be like U2

  • @alfa1451968 U2 get on my tits with their pretentious, sanctimonious bullshit. Wish they would stop preaching to the world and just concentrate on their music. Bono does my head in. Then Jerico should have been so much bigger than they were. Their songs have stood the test of time and still sound amazing quarter of a century later. Absolute talent. Not a band on earth that could say they sound like them. Not ONE.

  • @guv859

I see Mark Shaw around London now and again, he's a shadow of his former self these days. It's a shame, he could've been a huge star.

  • one of there best in my opinon.

  • I love this song - thanks for posting.

  • I saw them in Lisbon, near Belem Tower and I joined as a fan. Great show they perfomed there.

  • love the band love the album cheers 4 the memories

  • Did Belinda have a fling With mark Shaw during recording?

  • i listen metal...but then jerico is a great 80s band...really great music with no gay sound hahaha sorry....

  • Brillint. was in Glasgow one weekend for a football game, got chatting to a girl in hotel bar about music and she says 'you ever hear of Then Jericho they are playing round the corner in King Tuts Hut tonight' we had great night. I still have never met anyone who likes them which is a shame but hey their loss

  • hey I was at that gig at King Tuts! Brilliant band. Shame he was a prat. And to answer the person above, yup he shagged the life out of Carlisle but then I reckon most guys would have...not a bad looking couple tho...

  • did he really shag her or is this just made up nonsense ?? i guess we,ll never know the truth eh!!!!!!

i certainly would lol, though shes looking a bit haggard these days but i think she may be near 50.

  • Wow was just sitting here browsing You Tube when I though I wonder if Then Jerico are on here and wow wow love this song have not heard it for years. Went to see them in concert years and years ago and they were fab. I am sitting here with a big smile on my face!!

  • This is one of those rare gems that you hear/see around and never know the title.

But in this case I never heard this GREAT song despite Then Jerico was unknown for most of all the people. Belinda a beauty as usual...

Thank you for help me to rediscover one of those rare gems.

  • Great duet, shoulda been a massive hit. They split up when they could have been huge. Still going now though.

  • 1 of my favourite songs of all time!

  • simply magic i have the original vinyl of this immense vocals great stuff thanks

  • I haven't seen this video for years. Very 80s, with Belinda Carlisle looking absolutely stunning!

This should have been a much bigger hit.

  • used to play this all the time in '89. x

  • How was this not massive in the states? What up with that?

  • I have had this song for years but didnt know there was a vid. knew it was belinda carlisle as was fan of hers at time too! I think I liked Mark as he bared resemblence to Morten Harket, lol

  • thank you for this. i spent hours looking for the name of the band because i forgot...all i remember was the singer had something to do with belinda carlisle.thanks, you are a genius, phew!

  • God I cant believe i was a teenager when i bought the album!! just bought a compilation cd from ebay. made me think of looking on here. just seen some videos of them live from The Tube that I remember watching at the time.

  • I had no idea berlinda did the backing for this song, and oh my god is it really nearly 20 years ago?!?!?!

  • He was lush! Still is a bit....!

  • Damn.. Belinda with a guitar.. thats hot.. A+ looking good as usual.. this is the first time ive ever heard of this... was this a hit somewhere??

  • oooh he was gorgeous :)

  • god the men were so much better looking back in them days lol

  • i have let her fall, the motive , and muscle deep on a dvd il try get them on this. when i do il let you all know ;)

  • absolute class. i remember seeing them at newcastle city hall in the 80's

i also remember seeing mark shaw on the quayside near the tyne bridge, years later, totally pissed - respect!!!

saw then jerico live at hammersmith odean london

    in 1988 it was great..

  • this came in a really cool gatefold mirrored kinda cover with b+w postcards inside, the ltd 7" did anyway, wonder what happened to that? belindas looking nicley slimmed thanks to the bolivian diet round about this time, proper rock chick she was back then, her and wendy james - must search transvision vamp

  • As bolivian diet you mean eat all you can eat, then throw up and starve for the rest of the week??. She had bulimia, told by herself.

  • Been waiting for the Big Area Vid also! Then Jericho was what the 80's was about.

  • Have Found and Posted Big Area Vid for you lot, Enjoy :0)

  • Does he define 80s beautiful man or what? Can anyone find a vid for 'Big Area'?

  • I agree with you, I haven't heard this for AGES and I got a shiver up my spine. Reminds me of being 14 and horny and lusting desperately after Mark Shaw ;-)

  • hey babe

  • it's so beautiful !!!! thanks !!!

  • Another vote for The Motive!! :o)

  • I loved Then Jerico-why can't we have the vid for The Motive?!! :D

  • YES!!! I want the Motive too!!

  • One of the best songs from the 80's. HOT singer, HOT Belinda and great song!. She made it in 1988 because she wanted to do the backups, as she did also backups in that same age for Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) and Glen Frey (The Eagles, this one also with Jane from The Go-Go's)

  • I think mark shaw was hot!

  • Yah..when did BC do this? Its really and odd song. Im surprized she agreed to such a cheesey back up and video. Im sure Mason made her do it. I think it was released late early 1990 so she was super hot, maybe MCA made her do it.

  • great vid. thanx. anyone has the clip for "let her fall" from their debut album, first the sound of music?

  • where is big area...?

  • One of the best TJ songs is 'Big Area' from the soundtrack to the Mark Hamil / Early Bill Paxton film - Slipstream. Now THAT is a great song. This one is good as it has TJ and BC in it. :) Thanks for uploading.

  • Excellent Video does anyone have big area?

  • I absolutly love TJ. One of the best rockin bands ever!!!! Thank you for posting this.
