Do you have a full video of the entire set?

This is Epic!!! Thanks for uploading this beauty from The Middle East. Hey guys from Australia: please tell the band that some people around the world would thanks a re-release of their "The Recordings of The Middle East", but the longer version of 52 minutes.

In other issue, it is true that the band splits again recently? I read it in The Line Of Best, a digital magazine from the UK.

@MyMOSHU Yeah they split up, sucks hey! I'm mates with the guy with the big old beard in the band. He's their producer/guitar player. I was recording at his studio not to long ago ;)

I don't know anymore. I got it after one of their gigs about 3 years ago, then got the original 8 track "Recordings of the Middle East" by writing to the band on Myspace. So my only suggestion is to try TME or SiT on Myspace. Hope you're successful, it has some excellent songs on it - "Gold" and "The Bats and the Brave" by TME are as good as anything they've done I reckon.

playing uk this summer, can't make any of their sets - g-u-t-t-e-d probably won't come across any professional footage from Glasto etc everyone is too interested in Scissor Sisters or whatever else crap is being forced down our t hroats these days

i seriously hope their cd is just as good as this. i just ordered it from ebay seeing that i can't buy it anywhere here in the united states. ): they're seriously so amazing though, i love it.

Mate i was there in the second row. No one was bored believe me, from the moment the band started playing to the moment they finished their set the entire room of people was in awe. This was the most intermate moment in music i have ever experienced in my life. i have been supporting these guys since the beginning. Since they played gold live at the burdekin theatre. Get your facts straight.

The original track was Gold, and Fools Gold is a cut down version. I think Gold is their best track of all. It is on an LP (no title) featuring Middle East and Sleeping in Trains, another north Queensland band, now defunct, but including Mark Myers who is now in the Middle East line-up. I got the LP, which contains 4 songs by ME and 5 by SiT, by writing to SiT on their Myspace page. I don't know if it's still available. But Gold on that album is a hundred times better than Fools Gold (IMO).

'Gold' (as far as I know) was the original recording of the song, and had that particular ending, but the main bit of the song is how it's recorded on their cd, where the song is called 'Fools Gold'...

Gold / Fools Gold.... Same song....
