Why is that rocket unguided? It allready costs a shitton of money so why not put in some technology to actually makes it hit something?

Even the german V1 in WWII had a basic guidance system.

@conoba : Honest John was so short-ranged that the guidance systems of that day wouldn't have made that much difference. If it was made today, it probably would have a guidance system.

@wardenphil Guided missiles are easy to confuse and forced to miss their target. Plain old straight runner missiles are the most difficult to deflect.

Because the Honest John was very cheap to produce, and it was accurate enough.The great thing about nukes is even if you miss....you still hit.
