Wow...they have TV programs dedicated to this stuff. All we have is Day9 and his dailies (thank god for that). No wonder Koreans are skilled, can't imagine what would happen if Flash switches over to SC2.
the left is TheMarine (commentating for MBC OngameNet or Proleague :D , I'm not sure anymore) the right one is the ex-Head Coach of SKT if I'm not wrong
Mind had a plan that probably took him a week+ to design, which was to draw all of Flash's defense to the front of his base, which would leave his main undefended. As soon as he sees Mind's dropship, he sends all his scvs to his expansion, brings up 3 tanks to defend his main, realizes that this can't be the main attack and leaves 2 tanks behind. He is also calm enough to know that his scan will be up soon to detect mines. All this in 2-3 seconds. While on tv, live on stage with an audience.
Because out of ten million players you won't be able to find but 1-5 people who would respond correctly in that situation. And even less would be able to respond correctly as quickly.
The thought processes that lead him to this plan of action was fast and accurate. Not a single person here reading these comments would be able to duplicate the thought process in the middle of a game.
@underwatercookie Um, I'm a D/D+ player on iCCup (well, haven't played there in about 3 years, tho) with an APM of about 130-140 and all these "tactics" seemed quite basic and obvious to me...then again, I might be considered a strategic player who's good at thinking ahead / decision making.
All flash did in response to the dropship was run his workers to avoid suiciding to vultures (derp) and sending enough tanks w/o compromising defense (not running into mines as special, are you kidding me?).

Honestly the strategy isn't THAT advanced. It's just executed very well.

There are so many subtle nuances in TvT, I love watching this match-up.
