  • @slipknot12390 14b? i say 20 psi efficiently, t25 , 15 psi. ide much rather have something 10 psi but with a really good tune vs 20 psi with a street tune tho. efficiency is king.

  • So a car built in limited numbers that is meant for going short distances in straight lines is the most "real" car you could think of. Also I do own a V8 car, but it can't put it's power down worth a damn, especially if it rains, and is out of steam by 6k rpm. Have fun searching for videos of cars you don't like and then posting nasty comments, quite a mature thing to do. I am done replying to this, I have better things to do.

  • @slipknot12390 I am personally building my engine with Manley Turbo Tuff I beams with Wiseco HD1400 10:1 pistons which are good for over 1000 awhp, it's better to over build than under build. A GT42 is pointless as a DD. Depending on your goals you have plenty of options, FP Red for 500-600, FP Black for 500-700, HTA GT3582 good for 750ish, HTA GT3586 for 800ish, PTE 6262 for 760ish, HTA GT3794, the one I am going to be running, good for 900+, 6765 for 900+ and there are turbo smaller too.

  • @eman11224 yeah, 700dyno hp and exactly 10Tq. and on it's last leg from all that boost. that pos wouldn't last 2 passes at a race track. Hell, that little motor would pop in the parkinglot.

  • @ladygodia How did you learn math? At 700hp even if it was at 9k RPM which it wouldn't be you would still need 408ft lb of torque at that point. So even if that was the max torque which it wouldn't be it would still be a sizable amount. In reality the max TQ would actually be higher. As far as reliability of turbo 4 cars goes there was a 2.3 Mustang in HRM drag week that did quite well. Destroyed the torque converter though. V8's are great, but not always necessary.

    1)If the turbo is sized properly and the rest of the engine is set up well the power should rise as the turbo spools and remain at a plateau throughout the usable rev range.

    2)If a car is properly geared the power should be available at whatever speed you are traveling.

    3)A car's country of origin has nothing to do with my comment, you do know where Talons were built?

    4)Turbo is slow? search "group b rally"

    5)As I said V8's are fun, just not the only way, variety is the spice of life

  • @ladygodia you know a flat torque curve is good right? I would love a flat torque curve, especially above 5252rpms because my horse power would be SKY ROCKETING. Horsepower equals torque times rpm divided by 5252. Reving to 9-10k with a flat torque curve throughout the power band would result in great numbers. 500ft/lbs at 10k is 952hp and 600ft/lbs at 9k is 1028hp and at 10k is 1142hp. All I can say is YES PLEASE! Electric engines are awesome because they have a "flatass" torque curve haha

  • My window wipers do this also at about 200kph and over... I've since changed to slimline wipers to reduce drag. Very distracting at these speeds not something you want

  • @xat0r at this point in time it was on C16. These days would probably run e85 or e98, and upgrade the fuel system accordingly.

  • @Manac87 If you are just starting out in the "racing world" I would suggest a boost controller and some engine management. The more you learn the more you will effectively and efficient mod the car for the future.

  • @RallyBlue i already have a hallman pro rx boost cont. and a apexi safc it has a 2g turbo on it a tial wastegate walbro 255 560 injectors msd plugs bosch triple platnium plugs 3 inch turbo back apexi exhaust and i have the motor pulled out replacing all the gaskets and putting a whole arp kit in the motor. and egr delete. im new to tuners i have a v8 i mess with but i never worked with a turbo. i was thinking of going dsm link. any ideas thanks again

  • @RallyBlue Although yours looks built up WAY more than mine. Mine was stock bottom end with lots of bolt ons (pump, 550's, 2g MAS, 2.5" turbo back, 16G, 272/264 cam, etc.)

    It's 2011, things are changing. Not saying 4cyls are better or anything, they just aren't that much harder to make fast. My friend's civic has just under 3k into the build and is running high 11's. Another one has about 4.5k into his current build and is running 11.6 with a lot more potential

  • @hpiownzilla01 crankwalk happened in only 3% of ALL 7-bolts. This is a 6-bolt. Also, ANY engine can get crank walk, it is just a thrust bearing failure.

  • @4g63gen1 DSM motors suck...the only reason why and what you idiots think they are so good for is that the compression ratio is so low...thus for you can pump a crapload of boost through them. try running one of those turd blocks with some nitromethane, with a fuel mixture of 14:7 yea that little piece of crap iron block isn't going to do crap except go BOOM. pick and choose your battle you tard!

  • @imacowtipper1984 wow u are dumb u mean 14.7:1 and the 6 bolt dsm can handle close to 600hp with stock internals to give u an example 5.0 and most 350s will blow up at around 500hp with stock internals so its less then half the size and can handle more power hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i hope someday someone can show u just how dumb u are
