There is so much you can do on a stationary bike that benefits you as a "real" outdoor cyclist. There is a time and a place for most things. This bike IS a superb stationary bike with measurement! Want to be more powerful outdoors? Train indoors. Works great for off season and intense interval training .
I guess she doesn't see the irony in the fact she is OUTSIDE riding a STATIONARY bike and praising it for being so much like a REAL road bike.
Here's a clue...get a real bike and get out and ride it! People sit in traffic to go to the gym to sit on a stationary bike and complain about the traffic. Sounds rather silly to me.
