aww... don't take that attitude. You don't have play as well as Briam to find the joy in music, it really brings something special to your life. If you have some time during the summer you should try learning a little bit, it's really uplifting.
You didn't hold out some notes that would have made the piece more powerful. Your vibrato sounds amazing on the E but i must agree there was a little too much. Try not to smack the notes before you play them. I used to have a problem with that. Trust your fingers. You did a great job overall, especially for someone of your age.
I agree with pelza12 on the vibrato. but that note is incredibly difficult to vibrato perfectly. I'm having a lot of trouble with it. Any suggestions?
One bit of advice however- a tad too much vibrato on that high note (I believe it's an E) at the end of the scale. Keep up the good work and please post more!
That was beautiful. It made me smile. Elgar Cello Concerto is a masterpeice and a treat is to see it played as well as you did. Thank you. You didn't really need the piano, but it sounded good all the same.
i can't say anything...i haven't even played that piece before... but the piano does bother me... that's probably because it sounds nothing like an orchestra, and also i played it a lot and it doesn't sound too good, but that isn't the point :P

For youth playing Elgar is always a challenge. But there were somethings that I noticed. Your bow arm is not to move with the entire arm but more in parts at certain points on the bow more different arm positions are needed.
you have a LONG way to go. practice more or else ur not gonna win. if you won with this that competition was either rigged or the people SUCKED soooooooooooo bad.

Good job! I played this last night for my degree recital. The piano was not in tune, and the tone of the piano sounded like one of the bar room pianos. Your perfromance was good!
