Playing this game is probably the closest thing to a real martial art training. Such as reading the moves of your opponents, developing better reflex etc. God Hand definitely demands a lot from a average player.
For the sway-cancelled Charge Uppercuts, do you have the move set to a different button? Because if you evade-cancel when the move is on Back + Triangle the next move ends up as the sweep attack.
I'm using the default button/attack setup here. I've never had the evade-cancelled uppercut clash with the sweep, just keep holding back and it overrides.
OK, thanks for that! At the moment I keep playing this in KMS mode with the default moveset, trying to take full advantage of Dragon Punch opportunities. I can do the HSK Lockdown perfectly now, so I want to start on the Uppercut evade-cancel attacks. I'll give it a whirl. Cheers!
I notice that the animation for forward evade is really fast, and that sweeping is accomplished by pressing triangle during that animation.
How easy is this to accomplish? I haven't played the game in awhile, but the buttons are on the same side of the controller, and are just far enough away that it is hard for me to understand how to press both with your thumb. Should I be using my forefinger as well?
Yes it's fine to use your thumb to press the [TRIANGLE] button after a during/just after a forward evade to activate the sweep. Just flick the right stick upwards with your thumb and then curve round to the [TRIANGLE] button, I hit both the stick and button with the underside of the knuckle of the thumb.
