  • That was all pretty neat!! We have foxes and coyotes around, probably because us, as human beings are building over their land. Poor things. :(

  • You can use Nordik Predator Call to make birds sounds to call foxes and other small predators.

  • ive been hearing these alot around my barns haha it scared the heck outta me tht one night i just happened to be on the craziest horse on the ranch & i heard a scream and my horse took off with me lol

  • Vixen's scream - hearing that a lot. There's another noise they make that isn't here, sounds like something from Jurassic Park...

  • The last one sounds like a bird!

  • ahhhh flippign heck scary i hope that fox dont make that noice in out garden or ill be shivering in me bed covers!!!!!

  • Thank You for posting this. It helped me identify the animal noises that woke me up this morning! My neighbors said was a mountain lion, but what do neighbors know! I knew it wasn't that, but ???. Makes sense since I've seen the fox crossing the road late at night in that general area...DUH. We live in the Pacific Northwest, btw. Do you know anything about the silver fox farms of early this century??

  • @sisqsis I don't know much about the silver fox farms. I know about 99% of fox farms raise foxes and then kill them to make fur coats. There's one fox farm that raises silver foxes to be tame and to be sold as pets. I don't know much about it though. I've heard the foxes are sent to America where they can be sold, but also heard you can only get them by going to Russia and buy the foxes there.

  • i love the nature

  • I wish I could live somewhere where I heard wolves and coyotes and foxes. I live in London, so. ^____^;

  • Last night, 2/1/12, I heard what I thought was a coyote call. There was a coyote on my property many years ago until Animal Control found out about it. Anyway, at 5:12 this evening I saw a beautiful fox with a catch in his/her mouth. Got a fantastic view of it as it trotted away. Listened to your video and the call I heard was most definitely a "Vixen's Call". In fact, my fox looked just like the one you associated with the Vixen's call too. When is mating season on the mid-Atlantic, this year?

  • @newyearbabie1 Gray Foxes mating season is January to May, with it's peek season in March.

  • Vixen Scream = "MATE GET OVER HERE!"

  • i like foxes

  • I'm making a VODcast for a kid's blog at the nature center I work. The theme is a nature calendar for February, and in the area you start to hear fox yelps within the first week or so. I wanted to include a clip of the sound, but can't find anything on the yelping. I haven't heard it myself-- I'm guessing it's not the vixen's scream as that's typically for after mating/pups? Do you have a clip of the sound or have a recommendation for something like it I could use?

    Thanks!

  • @IggySorcha Around mating season common fox calls are the vixen's scream and the territorial call, both mostly heard around January and February, but can be hear all year round. I haven't heard a fox yelp before.. when angry, hurt, or unhappy foxes will bark, scream or gekker. I haven't heard a fox yelp. I once knew of a website that had fox calls, but I don't know if that site is around any more. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. If I can find that site, I'll send it to you.

  • @StarFoxFan4641 Thanks for getting back to me so fast! I'm thinking it might just be describing a basic male call, as I've heard a lot of people specify "yelp" for dogs and "yap" for females. I found a male bark/yelping sound on BBC, I think I might go with that.

  • @IggySorcha You're welcome. I'm glad you found what you were looking for.

  • @IggySorcha I did find that site. If you want to check it out, it's foxbox(dot)org it has a few calls, one or two of which I used here.

  • omG! I have hear the vixens scream in the mountain and that moment i was like,WtF? O.o Silent hill or something?! And i was on guard!!!! :O

  • today i was following a fox trail in snow more then 6 km ,ive never seen him ,but it was the same alarm sound like in this video.and it was very loud he was so close.

  • I can hear a fox "crying" from the back of my garden. It's crying most nights, I live in the suburbs but a couple years back people stopped leaving bin bags out in the gardens as they would always tear them apart and eat what was inside, so now I think its hungry? I feel bad :(

  • I heard a vixens scream when we went camping in the middle of no where, 3:00 in the morning

  • I love the fox howl.

  • I had a fox by my window one night and it woke me from a dead sleep with it's " vixen call" I about peed myself.lol

  • I had a question : Is the Nine Tailed Fox from Naruto real?

  • @BaoNhu200 The nine tailed fox is from Japanese folklore. The nine tailed fox pokemon Ninetales is also from this folklore. It comes from Inari, the God of grain in Japan, thought to be a fox, or having fox helpers. As the fox gets older, it grows more tails, when the fox reaches the age of 1,000 years old, it grows it's 9th tail. Each tail holds a power of magic.

  • The vixen scream like somebody getting murdered..fo real

  • @free2rhyme29100 Omg I know right, I heard this in the middle of the night I thought some woman was dying!

  • Fox is calling outside my house tonight. I thought it was a bobcat, but this video proves me wrong. Thanks for helping me identify the source. It better stay away from my hens!

  • I heard a vixen at the back of my house :D

  • 0:05 - " Have you ever wondered what those strange sounds were that woke you in the middle of the night?"

Chuck Norris : That was fucking CHUPACABRA !

  • I remember when we first moved into our new house. I would hear awful noises at night. Sounded like some one was getting ass raped in the woods. Turns out it was just a pack of foxes living close by. They make such weird noises. I didn't know that dogs are really the only ones that bark. Wolf, cyotes, foxes all make way different noises.

  • The Fox Cry sounds like a squirrel.. :/

  • Foxes have cute little voices but WOW they can let out an impressive scream! It sounds almost human sometimes...WAAAUUGH! WAAUUGH!!

  • Thanks for this video. I got woken up by a fox about an hour ago. Scared the crap out of me. Pretty sure it was a vixen scream.

Also good to know they don't usually bother cats. I had to bring my cat in from outside the front door 'cause I was scared it'd hurt her.

  • I love foxes, they're wonderful animals.

(P.S. I ran into a fox last night ...I live in the countryside and when I come back late in the night I usually see foxes. It was crossing the road, running fast down from a hill. Then, it disappeared among the fields.

    I'm from Southern Italy.

  • I just heard a vixen call tonight. Scared the heck out of me, I had no idea what it was. I feel better now, though. (:

  • The fox cry sounds like it dieing

  • That's all I ever hear at night

  • (TRUE STORY) i was literaly just outside in the woods, when i heard coyotes yipping at dawn(yes, i like getting up early so i can enjoy the peacful sounds of nature) then i saw tracks they werent dog ones but more li,e coyotes plus i was in a very deep part of the woods. then i saw a hole and i a red fox in it it was very young, then when i was about to leave a mother red fox darted out and charged in front of the baby, and then did something similar tothe call at 1:31 and i was so scared!

  • STARFOX FTW!

  • The bark and scream and the howl are beautiful sounds.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this I've been looking everywhere for fox calls and what they mean,

    Thanks :)

  • I heard a fox screaming outside my window the other night that sounded just like the sounds in 1:07 did....I live almost in the middle of suburbia...can foxes live out here? >.<

  • @xWolfHauntx Foxes live all over the world. Red Foxes can live almost any where in almost any kind of enviorment.

  • @xWolfHauntx

Foxes even live in inner cities. I have sometimes watched one or two foxes waiting nearby a takeaway and following people who have food in their hands. Apparently the foxes hope to get some fallen pieces. By doing so a fox appears naturally like a dog, following his owner in a certain distance. Sometimes you notice afterwards that it wasn't a dog at all but a city fox. ^^

  • @xWolfHauntx dude i just herd the sssame thingg so i started looking up deer noises then found this and at 1:07 its exactly what i hurd .. sounded scarry .. and i live on the suberbs in jersey

  • youd think the vixtens scream would be the warning sound

  • foxes r so cute

ut the sounds they make make me shit a brick

  • apparently this is how a banshee sounds. O.O

  • It's midnight here, I just got woken up by the "Alarm bark" or the "Fox cry", can't really work out which one it was.

  • Thank you. Your vid has helped me identify just the sound I was looking for. The "fox howl" is what I was hearing.:*))

  • Thank you. Your vid has helped me identify just the sound I was looking for. The "fox howl is what I was hearing.:*))

  • I live in alaska and I want to get some pictures of foxes in the area. I know they livce here because I have seen them roaming about. I would like to be able to find thier den so i can get some pictures and perhaps a video or two. do you know what kind of land marks or if there is generally any clue to being able to fing a fox den?

  • @theroachification It mostly depends on what kind of fox you're looking for. Some foxes make their dens in hill sides, other foxes use old dens that have been used by other animals, and they like to have a den near a water sorce. Gray foxes may make dens under or even in trees. However, if people come by a fox's den, the fox will end up leaving to find a new den where it won't be bothered or feel threatend. Red Foxes don't use their dens all year round. Dens are only used during mating season.

  • Um okay I like it it's cool

  • wow i love that white one

  • They're not cubs. They're called pups. :B

  • @BackbiterRiptide2 Young foxes are either called kits or cubs. Pup is not the right name for baby foxes. They are the only wild canine where the babies are not called pups. Kit is the most common name used for baby foxes, cub is the more correct name but used less, pup is incorrect but is still sometimes used.

  • @StarFoxFan4641 How late do foxes start roaming?

  • @EDGamesForums Depends on what time of the year it is and what kind of fox it is. Some foxes only come out late at night and go back to hiding early in the morning. Red Foxes can be seen at any time of the day but are most active at dawn and nightfall.

  • 1:56 thanks for including an Arctic Fox, they're my favorite

  • I am familiar with all of these sounds. Now I know what they mean! Thanks. I have also heard a kind of 'cooing' sound from the woods around my house. Have you ever heard foxes make a sound like that? It is very melodic..and only at night. It sounds almost like a bird call, but I don't know of any birds that make that sound. CRD

  • Vixen screams will haunt you in your dreams!

  • Super helpful, we were literally just sitting on our back porch and we heard two animal yells to each other and couldn't figure out if we were between two bears or two foxes. Thank you, we figured it out! We couldn't decide if it was a vixen call or the pup cub, but at least when we have guests over we can tell them what it is.

  • foxes' howl is really cute :)

  • This might be a silly question but do foxes wag their tails?

  • @sasukevsorochimaru Yes, foxes can wag their tails, but adult Bat-eared foxes can't wag their tails. But other foxes can.

  • @sasukevsorochimaru

When people started breeding foxes in captivity (initially for fur), they where only breading the less aggressive ones so... the testosterone got much lower and bizarre traits showed up such as wagging tails, dropping ears and black spots on the fur. Its now called the Siberian fox, Now its safe to own as a pet since it's behavior is now between that of a cat and a dog, so they are selling some for fur, some for pets.

  • That white fox is beautiful

  • the picture used for the Vixen's Scream in your video is beautiful. what kind of Fox is that?

  • @Tawneekara That is a Gray Fox. (sometimes called a Tree Fox)

  • I was wondering if a sound I've been hearing is a fox or not. It's this really high pitched scream that has been sounding outside my house for about four nights in a row now. Tonight it sounded much louder and clearer than it did on Saturday, so I think the animal moved closer to my house. Could you watch my most recent video please? It's called "A Strange Noise" and it is just me filming outside so the scream can be heard. Any help you will offer me will be greatly appreciated.

  • @fuducker2 I checked out your video and that call sounds like a fox.

  • wow foxes do weird and interesting sounds

  • Interesting!

  • Wow! Great information! I love to hear foxes!

  • I hear a fox Bark and scream for the first time last night, it was so hauntingly beautiful

  • i love foxes its also my last name ;)

  • I got chills when I heard the barks and screams part. If I heard that in the woods at night, I'd run like hell, man! o____o;

  • FOX FURRY FTW

  • Hello. Do you know how to track a red fox. (NOT FOR HUNTING.)

  • @gamer1171 Sorry, I don't. I've never gone tracking before.

  • Fantastic !, Thx for the video, the sounds are mostly all what i needed to learn about foxes :)

  • At 0:35 (Vixen's scream) the first time i heared this song in a wood at night i fuckin runned XD

This song is so disturbing in a wood : )

  • @SnaggaSheeYoung

    Runned? Wow.

  • I was looking up big foot calls then end up here Ty for post. I thought foxes would howl or have an half ass bark but I learn something new to day Ty again.

  • I JUST heard the fox call, but was wondering what it was, so I googled it and this came up.

  • Too bad foxes don't live anywhere near my area. I would love to listen to this with my own ears :)

  • I can't tell the difference between the alarm and vixen calls, but last night I heard one of them; it got closer and closer, so the fox was on the move. It was VERY loud and kind of scary at the end, because I didn't know what was making the sound, and it was in the woods about 100 ft from my house. No animal answered, and after screaming at even intervals, it just suddenly stopped. I went back to sleep and dreamed my son told me it was a fox, so this morning I searched and found this video!

  • This is SO WONDERFUL!!!!! I especially appreciate the howling at the end, even more beautiful than wolves. Would it be possible for you to upload a video of just foxes howling?

  • @wanderersrock268 I would, but I don't have any videos of foxes howling. Only twice I've heard foxes howling and it was too dark to see or film anything.

  • This is sick shit

  • That Vixen's Scream really terrified me.

  • You seem to know much about foxes I have seen many "little" foxes in the northeastern part of WY and I do not know what kind they are they have large heads compared to their body and very fluffy tails I am colorblind but they seem like they don't have much color to them. I have only seen them at night.

  • i love foxes >_<

  • Ahhh thank you. I am at work and I heard either the mating call or the alarm call. When I went outside I saw some glowing eyes in the field accompanied by the screech as well as a more distant answer. I looked up bobcat calls and cougar calls, but it sounded just like the mating call, but similar to the alarm call. Thanks for the insight. I have seen foxes in the field before ;-)

  • Will you do a Fennec Fox calls I hear they purr like cats and have a deep grunting call. Also I was wondering if Foxes are bad as pets since they have a habit of burrowing they cause some proverty damage with the digging and scent marking?

  • @Fruitsbasketcase12 Fennecs scream (very loudly for their small size), they gekker like other foxes and whimper, and they make a purring sound when they are cold. Foxes make bad pets. The are wild animals, and will always have the wild animal instinct. Though they can learn to walk on a leash, come when called, and use a litter box, they dig into rugs, chew and climb all over couches and chairs, and during mating season they take on a strong skunk-like odor.

  • I Was Outside Early In The morning, And I Heard Screaming Quite Close To Me. And There Was A White Animal On The Top Of The Hill. The animal Stopped And Then Moved And Did It Again More Close By. And Then Again In A Different Spot Even More close By. I got Up From Where I Was Sitting And Went Back Inside. It Was Really Scary.

  • Foxes are not a pest in my opinion, I have a red fox as a pet and find that even though they are skiddish to things and sounds they have not regularly encountered, I find that ( at-least with my Boxxy.) they listen and behave better than a traditional dog. However, require much more training.

  • sometimes they sound like crows....i didnt know what a fox sounded like at all...i mean ive seen them in my garden a few times but they never made any noises

  • I heard the vixen scream last night and the night before at like 1 am. However I know there are fisher cats around the area and my friends said it was a fisher cat, but it sounds just like this fox. Is it possible they have similar sounds or was it definitely a fox?

  • @030Phatmatt Foxes and fisher cats do have similar sounds, it could have been either one. Their "screams" sound alike but a trained ear could tell them apart. I've never hear a fisher cat call, so I don't know exactly how to tell the differance between the two.

  • i am a therian, my spirit animal is the fox. I feel so invited to make sounds with them. I might sound like a maniac but it is true.

  • @MsFurry777 What do you mean your sprit animal is the fox. I'm not making it sound bad but I'm interested in a good way in how do you know that

  • That Fox Howl reminds me from Latias in the movie when she was crying o.o

  • Foxes are pests. They are classed here in australia as a class 2 pest animal, along with wild dogs/dingoes and feral cats. Foxes kill and maim harmless animals such as bilbies, native birds, chickens cats and house animals. I hunt and kill these animals because they are a pest and cause alot of problems in wildlife and suburban ares. On my farm, theyve killed 23 chooks out of my pen. They dig holes underneath the cage and unleash hell, killing many at a time. So i don't believe foxes are cute.

  • @dombonjovi69 It's not the foxes' fault that they need to kill in order to survive, and it's the FULL fault of humans for bringing foxes into Australia in the first place. These are the things that happen when non native animals are released into places where they do not belong. The only ones to blame are the people who brought the foxes there. I just think it's a shame when people hate and blame the animals for the fault of people, but I understand the frustration.

  • @StarFoxFan4641 The sole reason they brought foxes into Australia was simply so that Australians could go foxhunting too. Sadly, not unlike most people, they didn't pause to think of the long-term consequences of their action, especially when it's fuelled by selfish desires.

  • @RandomFox11 I know. I just don't understand why people do the things they do. They bring the foxes over to hunt and kill them, and now foxes are overrunning the place and some how it's the foxes' fault. People just like to find other things to place blame on to cover up their own faults.

  • @StarFoxFan4641 Because only a person with REAL courage can stand up and openly admit his mistake(s). Forget everything you've ever been told about "manhood", about being rough an' tough and sh1t like that; real men (but not necessarily 'men') are humble knights of chivalry who protect the weak, as compared to exploiting them, regardless of skin and belief - or even species, in some cases. Petty things such as personal pride and ego are merely a setback to progress.

  • @RandomFox11 So true...

  • @StarFoxFan4641 my soutube name comes from something to do with foxes, i would like to raise a fox from a cub :)

  • @KitsuneProject I've always wanted to raise fox cubs, and even rescue foxes.

  • @dombonjovi69 With that rationale, lets pray to GOD that cows or pigs never gain sentience...because humans are the biggest parasites of them all.

  • @dombonjovi69 Dude, that's like killing cats :p They kill harmless animals too :p

  • Comment removed

  • @mart92xbox360 The foxes probably hunted and ate the groundhogs. And healthy foxes aren't always a danger to people. Just never try to corner one, and keep well away from any fox dens because they are extreamly protective of their cubs. Foxes almost never approach people. If one does, it's likey to be ill or infected, or maybe just used to people feeding it if it's an urban fox.

  • @StarFoxFan4641 yeah they look very healthy and they approche us to about 10 feets but if we move they go hide ferther, but i dont think there infected. i'm glad to have them around. thanks for the tips

  • @mart92xbox360 That's good. And you're welcome.

  • Oh! So a woman isn't being raped outside my window!!!! It's just that damn vixen scream! You don't know how close I was to calling the cops this one time...

  • They are some scary sounds, I used to hear them and think they were some kind of weird bird squawking lol.

    What is a banshee?

  • @RoyalRoseWolf In Gaelic folklore a banshee is a spirit of a woman who comes wailing and screaming to signal that someone is going to die.

  • I've heard all these sounds, plus a cacaphony that I can only describe as what I imagine a small animal being torn apart would sound like This mix of growls and shrieks can go on for over a minute. What are they up to?

First time I heard the "vixen scream" I thought "Oh, that's where the banshee legend came from."

  • @tanfoukdance I've been hearing a sound like an couple of animals dying, resurrecting, and dying again outside my house at night lately, but i haven't seen the animal so it's been a pain trying to figure out what it is. Are you sure that sound is made by a fox? It'd be a huge relief to know that's all that's out there! D:;;

  • @ArianrhodWyvern I've heard sounds like that in my front yard, an animal screaming like it was being killed. It turns out it was a coyote killing a rabbit. I know rabbits can scream quite loudly and I know it was coyote even though I didn't see it because I could hear them howling near by and I was outside in the pitch darkness (taking my dog out) while it was happening. It was terrifying.

  • This is great! And helped figure out some of the strange noises we hear outside at night. We have both gray and red foxes - and love to watch them

  • I thought foxes couldn't howl?

  • @ShinigamiSilver066 That is true. Some foxes don't acually howl, but they do let out long drawn-out cries. They do sound like howls, I only called that one call "fox howl" because it sounds like a howl, and that kind of call doesn't really have a name (that I know of), only that it's known as a comunication call.

  • I am almost 99% sure there is a fox living in the greenbelt behind us (it has been seen by others), and we live on a busy road and it's over 100 degrees here during the day... Its little cry sounds like the alarm cry, do you know if there are any volunteers that come and try to locate the little guy for free? We're in Austin, TX. Or should I just not worry?

  • @TheMaurerpower You would have to check your area if there are any wildlife rescues that would catch it and relocate it to safer area, but some places won't do it. It all depends. I don't know what they have in your area. In extream heat, foxes will head underground to keep cool. The temetures shouldn't be much of a bother to it, but a busy road could be a real danger.

  • Why does a cute-looking little thing like a fox make these horrid demon noises? At most, frightening. At the least, extremely obnoxious.

  • I love foxes to death thumbs up if you agree!

  • I have to ask a kind of dumb question, but why would foxes cry, as in the sound in the video named 'Fox Cry'? Thank in advance!

  • @aje7590 There are a number of reasons a fox might "cry". I could be calling out to other foxes, it could be calling out it's cubs, it could be calling out a warning or a territorial call to warn other foxes to keep out of their territory, or they could "cry" if they are alone.

  • @StarFoxFan4641 ah just one thing to correct.. baby foxes are called kits, not cubs. just trying to clear that up ^_^ love the video by the way.

  • @DelilaSchroder Acually, both names (kits, cubs) are correct. The name "kit" is used the most. And thank you very much. :)

  • We have foxes in our neighborhood and usually they stay in the woods -- but we have had a few come into our yard and start making that dreadful noise. I have two indoor cats and now a dog and the next door neighbor has a few outdoor cats. Tonight I'm sitting in my room and I hear something completely different. It sounded almost like a cat -- but I knew it wasn't -- it was kind of a mix of scream/howl. The fox was right outside my window, like it wanted something. Any clue?

  • @lovelystrings Probably a warning call. Or if any of the cats were out at the time the fox could have been barking at the cat. They sometimes like to pick on cats. Arctic foxes do the same to polar bears.

  • @StarFoxFan4641 Weird. It was just lying down making that noise. One night I opened the front door and yes, the next door neighbors cat was out there; but it was making the usual warning bark. I don't think the cat was out last night. I live near DC (suburbia); we have deer in the yard all the time and it has become a crossing point for them in which one got hit last year right in front of my house -- I think I still had PTSD from seeing that poor thing struggling to stay alive.

  • @StarFoxFan4641 I think it was more "chirping" than anything.

  • @lovelystrings Foxes do make strange sounds. Some of their calls may sound like chirping when they are "talking" to other foxes. Mostly from cubs. Also, you said you've got deer around too, and deer can make some pretty interesting sounds too. Sounds people would never even guess could come from a deer.

  • Really interesting, thanks for posting

  • the fox came back and was sitting on the rocks behind my house it tried scaring it off by flicking the lights on the back deck on and off and tapping loudly on the glass to the sliding door but she didn't move she only ran when my brother got home from his game and she saw head lights from the car

  • @nejitenfan It sounds as if the fox may have a den near by. Or if there's easy food to get to, the fox will keep coming back for that. They usally don't come back unless they have a reason. Some will even stick around just because they like watching people from a disstance.

  • thanks..I have heard different calls in the night and had no idea what was outside my house. tonite I heard the strangest noise yet. I put my flash light and saw what I thought was a fox then I saw another. The Gekking noise is the exact noise I heard. When I put my high powered flash light on them they stopped got quiet and starred at the light almost startled and confused and quicky went in the woods again.

  • That was very good. I really like foxes.

  • Will a red or silver fox attack or go near two 20lbs dogs? are foxes nocturnal? how big do they get? and will light keep them away from my house?

  • @nejitenfan Red foxes and silver foxes are acually the same specises of fox. A silver fox is just a red fox with silver fur. Most foxes come out at night and early in day, there are only 2 or 3 kinds of foxes that are strictly nocturnal. Red foxes will come out at night and in the morning. Red foxes are a meddium sized fox, they don't weigh any more then 20 pounds, stand at about 20 inches tall, and about 19-35 inches long. With their size, they weigh a lot less then a dog of the same size.

  • @nejitenfan And foxes also like to investigate things. They might come in close but not too close just to check things out. They sometimes like to pick on or tease cats or dogs, but normally won't attack. A light might not keep them away. They fear humans, so anyone could chase them out of the yard. Red Foxes are careful, shy, yet bold animals. Gray Foxes acually tend to be the more aggressive ones.

  • i just heard one of those and saw a fox run through my yard after i turned the lights on my question is. Will a fox go near my house if my 20lbs dogs are out because i don't want to put them out then go to bring them in and find them fighting with a fox? how big are they fully grown? are they nocturnal or do they come out during the day? i by the way i live in Connecticut if that will help at all so it would be red foxes or silver foxes. this is the first time I've seen it but i heard it before

  • @nejitenfan Most likely, no. Foxes fear dogs, and they fear dogs even more if there are more then one of them. Foxes don't fight unless they really have to. Foxes don't even attack cats, so they are even less likely to attack a dog. The main thing to worry about is rabies, an infected animal will attack anything, or if the fox has cubs near by. Foxes are extreamly protective of their cubs will go as far as attack a bear to protect them. But if a fox has no reason to attack, it won't.

  • @StarFoxFan4641 thanks and sorry i had a hard time with posting the comments but thanks again for all the help i just worry about my dogs when it comes to things like this

  • @nejitenfan It's ok. And You're welcome. :)

  • how many different types of foxes are there cus in the vid u only show 2 and i know there's more then that

  • @darkmoon6900 There are 21 species of fox. With 34 canid species, foxes make up most of the wild dog world. and I acually showed 3 different foxes in this video; Red Foxes, a Gray Fox, and an Arctic Fox.

  • omfg im so creeped out lawl! the "Vixon's Scream" is what i JUST heard in the forst right next to my house. I had no idea what it was and my dad told me that it was a fox. So being a little curious, i tried imitating it. and me and him had a 5 minute conversation until thos damn cars scared him away! but it was cool

  • This is really cool, I was trying to decide if it was an owl or a fox that lives nearby (or, you know, if someone was continuously being attacked every night outside my flat). After hearing the vixen's scream I feel safe in saying it's a fox!

  • Very educational. I moved to a new place that has a fox...the first I heard was the alarm bark and I thought it was wheezing. I heard screams and I thought it was sick, but apparently this is normal.

  • i've heard "Vixen's Scream" lots of times before and i thought it was someone screaming for help. im glad a fox is living near me instead

  • literally sitting here 5 minutes ago i could hear something outside and had an inkling it would be a fox so hear i am listening to these noises, very interesting...twas the alarm bark ;)

  • I just heard two fighting outside at like 10:30pm. Sounded like a monkey and also something dieing.

  • i read an article in national geographic (i think it was) about scientists in russia taming foxes. in a short time, and with selective breeding, many of the captive bred foxes became so dog like that they would jump up and lick the researchers' faces. So it seems Foxes being a household pet may be a possibility in 10 or 20 years, which i would LOVE, foxes are my favorite animal. Some historical research suggests at one point in history we might have domesticated foxes before dogs.

  • I heard that damn vixen scream in the middle of the night. I thought it was a woman screaming from being killed or something. :|

  • now i understand why i heard ''owl'' in yehuda desert it was a fox howl

  • Loved this.

I hear thee noises all the time in Pitfichie Forest.

Now I can maybe tell the difference.

    Thanks for that >:0)

  • Man I was just outside with my buddy and we hear
