Shatner chews the scenery too much. Nimoy puts in a much more "modest" performance.

@MrSpocksbrain The only reason Nimoy looks "modest" is because he is juxtiposed with Shatner. Nimoy does plenty of scenes where he is playing it big.

It's Star Trek. This is a show about great people with a passion for life being infected with madening alien viruses and getting exposed to interdeminsional radiatin that makes you crazy. They would be bad actors if they played it like some brooding character piece with a half alive protagonist moping about some mundain existence.

yeah Shatner definitely took care of himself in his prime. He really accomplished all he wanted to as an actor. Always thought he was good looking in the series and the movies too actually and loved his charisma aha, go Shatner/Kirk!
