Attention: This is one of the most pathetic songs I've ever heard. The fact that it was on my sirius radio makes me want to kill myself. Busy Bee? Suicide? What?
He's lying about everything in this song. Pathetic. Burnnnnnnnn in hell busy bee
This came on Backspin on Sirius Radio the other day......Wow Busy Bee....reminds me of the hotel parties back in the day.....Colt 45 and OE 40's.......Life was so easy back then. Thanks for putting this out there!!!!
if u dont remember busy bee you got no bussiness listening to rap, lol, back in day i was call a white niggE* because i love rap, now all corny white kids love rap, fuckin joke, they dont even know who krs1 and rakim alah is
This joint takes me back to the 11th grade at James Monroe School in The Bronx. That was when Rap was real compared to all that clown/faggot bullshit that's oHigh ut now.
You had to have a Big Ass Caddy with Vogue wheels, Rag Top, Boomerang Antenna and boomin system to bang this...At least in Brooklyn..lol Those were the days
@judahbenhur69 Yall BK niggaz used 2 kill them Duece & a 1/4's that's all niggaz would rock in Brownsville,us L.I. niggaz wuz on them Nine Eights hardbody! (LOL) Those were the days 4 real!!!
When u lived in Philly Lady B's street beat was the center of the hiphop universe. Everything that was hip hip you heard first on her show. True pioneer and this was one of those songs I heard first on her show. If my cousin brought down some tapes of Mr. Magic or Red Alert u got even more hip hop flava. Man the memories.....long live the essence of hiphop
@Antdavid P.A. ALL DAY YES LADY B USE 2 HAVE U BY THE RAIDO READY 2 HIT REC ON UR TAPE PLAYER!!!THE BEST DAYS THEN,POOR KIDS 2 DA,IFEEL SORRY 4 THEM THEY MISSED THE GOOD SHIT!!!
you gotta love youtube... haven't heard this in 15 years easily. Red Alert used to mix the f outta this song, turned s 5 min joint turned into like a 15 min mix. heh-heh. thnx for posting this vid!
Even to this day, I still can't believe how incredible Busy Bee sounded with Melle Mel's lyrics. There's something about his delivery that gives them a very Southernized feel (minus the Li'l Wayne and Outkast bullshit). This was QUITE a slept on album... I just might have to upload the whole LP one of these days. ^_^
Thanks for posting this song all that time ago. A real classic, and one of the last truly great hip-hop singles of the 1980's.
Yo homey you on the old head page we know what you mean son you aint gotta clarify we grown on this page, now if you go on the Soldier Boy page then you would have to explain that you good kid we your old head homies ya heard?
Could anyone remember the track by I believe 3 Kats, i dont know who by but it went like.. I know a girl name Judy she had a big boodie a down home girl but a real fly cutie. then the other kat came in and was like... i know girl name Vickie she was real trickie.. now mind you the lyrics I write may not be correct but they each had a girls name at the beginning of there rhyme. I have been looking for this track for ages. the beat was sinister. please help.
@QWWEEERRRRTTTTT If you're in NYC,listen to WBLS(107.5 FM) on Saturdays at either 7 or 8pm. If not, then catch DJ Red Alert Saturdays from 10pm-12am on 98.7 Kiss FM(WRKS). In fact, listen to real Rap on an XM/Sirious satelite radio station called Backspin 24/7.
