  • Once in a while, I feed the one in my backyard with cashews, almonds, and sometimes pecans and peanuts. It is a very sociable bird and isn't afraid of me at all, and neither does it fear the stray cats that prowl in the tall grasses nearby! Sooner or later I'll have it eating out of my hand and maybe even perched on my arm!

  • They do like to tease and harrass cats XD A number of years ago I had a local Scrub Jay familiar enough with me that he would quicky jump onto my hand, grab the food and then retreat to eat it nearby. He REALLY loved earthworms :-)

  • best song and smart birds

  • Thanks so much for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed my music and video :-) Happy holidays!

  • Cashews, eh? You've added to ornithological knowledge.

  • Actually I think they would have eaten just about anything, knowing these birds! They were lucky I was willing to give-up any of those Cashews! :-)

  • How brave the bird ... :) Beautiful music ... :) Yours sincerely ... :)

  • I was wondering why those birds kept following us......lol

  • They know... Beware! Alfred Hitchcock isn't far behind, either :D
