  • Thanks buddy .. especially with the nice little tips

  • Good stuff. Just inspired me to change the oil on my 2005 Corolla S.

  • For the first time in my life, I performed my first Oil change/Oil filter by myself, thanks to your video. Kinda messy, but I got it right. Thanks!

  • Thank you for your detailed guide on this. People like you are helping people like me save money.

  • i like it

  • @davo53209 I jacked my car up on the driver's side, and I would say the oil pan is in the middle of the car.

  • run your engine for 5-10 minutes too thin the oil and youll get more oil out

  • The oil around the ring is just motor oil from one of the containers. The oil that is pouring out is the old motor oil. The gas pump shouldn't be involved.

  • @shredder06 For the Toyota Corolla, which side of the car is the oil pan located along with the drain plug? Is it located on the driver side of the car? Thank You.

  • the oil you put around the ring is just motor oil and do you know if any oil filter you buy will fit to any car?.. Is the oil thats pouring out reg. gas station pump oil or just the engine oil? thx jw

  • Don't use fram oil filters, if you want a lower priced oil filter that is made really well go with a purolator. Just my 2 cents

  • @SHAIAz96 I agree. Purolators are the best. I wouldn't trust Fram.

  • thanks for the tips, shredder. very straight forward and easy to follow.

  • I think it fills after you screw it on and pour the oil in. Either way is ok, I think.

  • you forgot to fill the oil filter up with oil before installation

  • No prob, thank you for serving!

  • Thanks man. I used this to do my tacoma, tundra and camry.

  • dude. this is pretty simple. is this what Jiffy Lube is charging me 75 bucks for? i'd rather just do it my own, if i could just get underneath it....

  • thanks a lot, i never changed oil filter (doing by myself)

  • You're welcome, joy4ly! Glad I could help.

  • Excellent! Thank you very much, this was exactly what I needed!

  • Hi Jacob!

I just used my hands and gave it a good yank, but they make oil filter wrenches. You can buy them at autozone or lowes. Just ask someone that works there. And when you use the wrench be sure to set it up so that you loosen the oil filter not tighten it because the wrench only goes one way (righty tighty, lefty loosey). Hope that helps!

  • Thank you so mush for the video. It looks easy enough, I may try to do it by myself.

I have a great trouble to take the filter out of it. What tool you use? Please advise.

    Thank you very much!!!
