The song has descended from the heavens.....I was born in 1959 and am now going back from 1940 chronologically...and I am at 1959 at the moment.....wow, superb...superb...superb...hau­nting sound...thomas wayne sublime vocals.....truly a song put together in heaven !!! I always remember first hearing this on our oldies radio station in the early 1970's. I got accustomed to hearing the strings version, and I think I prefer that one. A rare beautifully haunting song, it hooked me on the first listen. Great supporting backups.

This seems like a slightly different version, sounds like strings in the background.

Perhaps this is a different take from the same session, I can't hear any strings on my original 45.

My all time favorite tune from '59! I also like the Brenda Lee, Fleetwoods versions but Wayne's is the best!
