  • That's what i call a killer bass line!

Going to see them in february. Can't wait!

  • around 2.08 when the horns kick in goes strsight up your spine!

  • i wish i could hear the bass more

  • Highlight of Glastonbury 2010!

    Paul N.

  • what effect(s) is the guitarist using at the tremolo picking part at 1:53-2:08?

  • @radiohead00000

I think just distortion and a whammy bar.

  • I was there! They were amazing.

  • the twins look really like steve kinnear

  • Yes Aephqan thanks for the lyrics, and how do you interpret them? Hey, beards are in! My mate reckons these were the best thing at Glastonbury. Even though I was very slow to catch on to them they're probably the best band in the world at the moment, the REM for the twenty teens. Al of 'Kerouac Beat_Happening' thread.

  • I was there, front row. There are some gigs you're never gonna forget...

  • @leviatan130 they're one of the best bands out there because of their vocalist, not despite him.

  • that sound , that band is my favourite at present !!!

  • Great gig.. check out my review on The National at Glasto!

  • @oxenbrigg I see what you mean. I noticed that gesture as well and thought he looked as if he were actually asking the sound tech to make something quieter. But who knows what special language of baseball signals those guys have on stage. Still, I'm guessing that whatever mix they hear on stage is not quite what we're hearing on the video.

  • : )

  • Matt's vocals are consistently way too low in the mix :(

  • @oxenbrigg I think a lot of it has to do with his low register. This has always been a problem in a live setting. Mistaken For Strangers suffers from this live especially. Still, tho: great sound to this recording. The drums sound amazing (as per usual)

  • @johnnystquoi you're right, but specifically in this video, you can see that he is telling the sound person to raise his vocals. even at the end, right after they finish playing, he does the same gesture.

  • @oxenbrigg i agree, however the vocals are greatly improved as set continues, intense

  • @oxenbrigg listen to it louder and with a better soundsystem to get the atmosphere right!!! amazing gig!

  • amazing!

  • Say you stayed at home

    Alone with the flu

    Find out from friends

    That wasn't true

Go out at night with your headphones on, again

And walk through the Manhattan valleys of the dead

Didn't want to be your ghost

Didn't want to be anyone's ghost

Didn't want to be your ghost

Didn't want to be anyone's ghost
