Years ago I downloaded an MP3 of her BGM from the episode where they had the cameras following them around. It was about a minute of pure awesome, but this has blown my mind as well as that piece out of the water.

So many fantastic memories of the show and that music.

I am currently re-watching the ThunderCat's now as an adult.. and I can tell you that some of the " jokes " that I am catching now flew over my head as a kids. However I still have very good memories attached to this show and one of them best is Cheetra's Theme... Just listening to this you can almost picture her running at full speed totally free...

Man, if the new Cartoon Network series leaves out the individulized themes & other background CLASSICS from this series, it'll be an automatic FAIL. I hope they bring Bernie Hoffer back. These tracks go above and beyond the emotion of ANYthing ever animated...EVER!

Bernard Hoffer was a true master composer. It is a shame that the entertainment industry has really changed in terms of music and shows. The last decade was really not that great. The 90's had its rough spots--but it always seemed to bounced back. Nothing like 80's shows and music!

An official T-CATS soundtrack probably won't happen the way we would like it to. Considering the state of the economy, every business is trying to scale back on spending. In creating a CD version of the sndtrk, Warner Bros. would have to factor in packaging, distribution, etc. & the sales of this CD would have to meet the cost of what went into making/selling the product. The best bet would be to offer each song via iTunes (or the WB site) & charge .99 cents or slightly more to download them.

Cheetara is by far my most favorite. As far as I heard, there is supposed to be a CGI movie of ThunderCats coming out. And if all the cats are going to be in the film - as for who does the voice overs, Lynn Lipton absolutely must have her part with Cheetara. She has brought real life when she done her voice on the cartoon. Like Larry Kenney for Lion-o. Except for those that passed on, EXCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES!!!

This was taken from a French 45" EP "Cosmocats", which was the title "Thundercats" was distributed under in France. On Side A is the "Comsocats" theme and on Side B is "Cheetara's Theme". But the good news is, Bernard Hoffer is considering releasing the entire score on CD, but it would most likely be a compilation one with his other scores from "Silverhawks", "The Comic Strip", "The Coneheads", and "The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus".

This would make an excellent radio jingle for a brief sports/weather news break. I've heard some brief news breaks on the radio that used soundtrack music from "Neverending Story" in the Washington D.C. area.
