  • from 1:20 corky looks freaking scary! like he just jerked off or he's about to kill his mom.

  • @kpbrian79 OMG I know thats wrong, but I can't stop laughing. I feel so guilty. He does look scary though. <3 ya Corky!!!

  • Dog: "F it!!!" *drops bowl on floor and lies down* lol

  • i love Patti LuPone (;

  • I, as a lot of younger people at the time, had no idea this was a Beatles song ("Ob-la-di Ob-la da"). Then, one day I bought The Beatles 'White Album' and, well, you can imagine my surprise. I went from hating the song (performed here) to really actually liking it (the original). Obviously Paul McCartney would sing it better than a tv cast.

  • I miss this show so much. They need to put it on DVD.

  • GOD!!!! They sound AWWWWFFFULLL.

  • I remember Kellie Martin she played a woman who was arrested for a crime she didn't commit it was from a movie that came on Lifetime back in 2000.

  • oh my kellie was such a baby then :)

  • is cork retarded

  • @massecure630 He has Down Syndrome.

  • My parents and I used to sit down and watch this show together. We really liked it.

  • CORKY!!

  • Hello I played Corky

  • i think the dogs IQ might have been slightly higher than corkys...so he had that going for him

  • this show was aired on sunday @ 11.30am back then. I had to juggle between helping my mom in the kitchen and watching the show at the same time

  • I always felt so sorry for the dog haha, poor thing

  • haha i remember koki.

  • The first song for the un-aired pilot was by the Beatles, turns out, that was too expensive, so they got a song sung by Tara Johnston called "Life Goes On"

Go figure. Also, the song played a part in the creation of an Offspring song, "Why Don't You Get a Job."

  • hey who sings life goes on? i heard it on the radio but a man was singing it, i liked it. i think it was on station 104.3

  • its the beatles! =) its actually called "ob la di, ob la da"

  • I used to love this serie

  • Apparently, the singers only know 2 verses. They're repeating the 1st one.

  • the beatles!

  • "it is not a zit..its a ski ramp" hahaha

  • Was the actor like that in real life? Down syndrome?

  • Yes, Chris Burke has Down syndrome in real life.

  • Jim Steele?? is that you...

  • ABC Netwok 1989-1993!

  • there was a way better theme song not la di crap

  • Sorry to inform you but this was the theme throughout the series....granted I'll never know why.

  • People seem to like The Beatles.

  • I Love this show part of the reason is because it honestly portrayed a character with Down Syndrome to honestly look through their own eyes.

  • I remember this show!

    when i was a kid

  • Will someone feed the dog please?

  • @Lynecita7 i always felt sorry for that dog....

  • seconds 1:05-1:15 are my favorite. The dad was cute.

  • corky's a RETAAAAAARD

  • I grew up with this program and liked it so much-15 years later I am listening to the start song and it doesnt pleasure me anymore-but back in the day-i loved the opening song

have i been muted-but the song is so clear in my head, with better melodies

  • 1:21-1:29. priceless.

  • LOL!! I used to love this show, the intro did get better later on the toon became more upbeat and faster. :) I like the faster version better.

  • GAWD I remember having to sit through that RIDICULOUSLY LONG opening every week! "It's not a zit! It's a ski ramp!" EVERY Sunday at 7:00! By the time the them song was over you felt as if you just watched and entire hour-long episode! And for god sakes somebody feed that damn dog!

  • you are a completely pathetic excuse for a human.

  • As i remember this show as i was i kid I realise how i hated it. Maybe because my parents liked it. so it just wasn't cool.

  • I use to watch this all the time does anyone else remember the story of the guy who was HIV positive and the series finale--that was so sad.

  • wonderful,excellent they are a love

  • most underrated show in history.

  • I loved this show!!! Thank you for posting!! :)

  • I loved this show when I was a kid, especially the semi wonder dog.

  • LOL! Yeah poor little doggie all he wants is breakfast and he gets ignored hahah :)

  • What happened to the other theme song? You know, "Life is good, life goes on, even when the little things go so wrong..." Does anyone know who sings that so I can find it?

  • Am I the only one who thinks this might be one of the worst Beatle covers ever?

  • Who cares.

  • Blasphemist!

  • Buys a twenty carat golden ring Takes it back to Molly waiting at the door And as he gives it to her she begins to sing Ob la di ob la da Life goes on bra La la how their life goes on Ob la di ob la da Life goes on bra La la how their life goes on In a couple of years They have built a home sweet home With a couple of kids running in the yard of Desmond and Molly Jones Happy ever after in the market place Desmond lets the children lend a hand
  • Lyrics!

Desmond has a barrow in the market place

Molly is the singer in a band

Desmond says to Molly "Girl I like your face"

And Molly says this as she takes him by the hand

Ob la di ob la da life goes on bra

La la how their life goes on

Ob la di ob la da life goes on bra

La la how their life goes on

Desmond takes a trolly to the jeweler's store

  • Thank you for the theme!! :) I loved this show back then! :)

  • Um, yeah. Chris Burke, who played Corky Thatcher, has Down syndrome.

  • Yeah I liked that they used a real life down syndrome person to star in a show about a daown syndrome kid's life instead of normal actor pretending. That made the show much better and made me like it more. :)He became a star too.

  • i Never thought i would See this again... TY for posting it... i Loved this show.

  • I enjoyed seeing this again and hearing the music again, but the opening theme that I remember was a little different than that. It had all of that, plus it had everyone rushing through the kitchen and the dog still waiting to be fed, but everyone just walks past him and ignores him... and finally it ends with the dog dropping his bowl and laying down.

  • Yup... I own the first season, and it has that too...

  • How did you get your hands on season one? you stinker hehe

  • LOL, ilovemydog2008, I have no idea! My mom just came home with it one day and said "I used to watch this when I was a kid; let's see it!" No idea where she got it.

  • Never mind i see it on Amazon :)

  • cheesecorn

  • hahahahahhh hes gotta be joking

  • I have all Life Goes On episodes.Feel free to contact me.

  • I am interested do you have them here or on tape? do you make copies if they are on tape? let me know -)

  • OK, was that really necessary? Wow, people are retarded because they want to offer or buy episodes of a classic TV series. Yeah, that makes all the sense in the world :P

  • I've been looking for it I would like to buy it if I can find it anywhere. :)
