@SoullessDollx The gameplay for 2 was a bit scarier (certain monsters were indestructible), but the cutscenes for 4 were very beautiful. It's funny because 4 wasn't going to be a silent hill game to start.

IMO Silent Hill 4: The Room belongs one of my favourites in the whole SH series. Even the Homecoming is nothing compared to this. The Homecoming one is the most worst game in the series.

My favourite order:

1. Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 (shared first place) [I can't decide] :D

2. Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

3. Silent Hill 4:The Room and Silent Hill (shared third place)

4. Silent Hill: Origins

5. Silent Hill: Homecoming

I really love the slow pace Team Silent gave to Henry, he seems likes is on a perpetual lethargic state. An amazing and underrated game of the series.

If you don't know, this is from Joseph's point of view, the tennent just before Henry, who disappeared. And is the strange body that sticks out of the ceiling and passes on his information to help henry (Innevitably fufilling both of their roles as victims. "Despair" - the Giver of wisdom and "Wisdom" - the receiver of wisdom) but seriously ... joseph. there was a fucking stool right there. Why not use it to bash the shit out of the ghost?! MAN!! When i bought this game i was very disappointed. The title completely mislead me. i thought i would get to play as a character with long hair and a lumpy suit who went around the silent hill antiverse going; 'OH HI, WALTER!', 'OH HI, EILEEN', 'OH HIIIII, DEMONS!'

The thing I don't like about this game is that I really don't see any reason why it should be titled "Silent Hill". :| Sure, Walter is mentioned in Silent Hill 2, and sure, it matches the style of Silent Hill in general, but it really doesn't have anything in the story that requires it to be called Silent Hill. -_-

Besides, I think it would have been creepier if it were just called, "The Room". :D

I probably would have. Think about the movie The Ring, it's not called Samara's Curse:The Ring, it's just the Ring. And F.E.A.R., it's not very descriptive, but it's obvious as to what kind of game it is. Naming it Silent Hill probably DID get it a few buyers, but it's just kind of disappointing.

Henry doesn't encounter any victim, Fungo. In the beginning of the game you're playing as Joseph, which is why he asks where his red typewriter is and who "that person" is when he looks at a picture of Henry. You can also see some of his quotes on memos before talking to his ghost in the candle filled apartment.

I never played silent hill 1,2,3,4 before but I like the cutscenes also this vid. to. in sh1 was the graphics not really good because it was a old game but in sh4 was the graphics briliant in 2,3 to. I thing its a fantastic game I want play that game :)

I'm of the opinion that on the nightmare you control Joseph, not Henry. Clues are the "Who is this guy?" line when checking Henry's portrait, the "I thought I had a red typewriter here" line, all those constant headache references, and so on.

Heather isn't Alessa in disguise. She's the baby Harry was given at the end of SH1 - the combination of Alessa and Cheryl's united selves.

Another tie to SH2 is the fact that the super (Sunderland) is James' father. SH4 is also linked to SH1 - the cult ran the orphanage, and Dahlia herself taught Walter the ritual he would go on to try to perform.

The song in the credits (the one with lyrics, I assume you mean?) is called Room of Angel.

Heather is NOT the "baby" Alessa gave him. In the universe of SH, anyone can create an otherworld, but you cannot create a physical being. The common theory is that a new born soul was created when Cheryl/Alessa merged, the that sould went into Cheryl's empty body/shell. This is evident since Harry never reported her missing.

Heather is actually Alessa Gillespie, she just changed her name and dyed her hair. Additionally, Harry Mason dies in the third game. And you cannot access to the room mentioned in Silent Hill 4.
