  • Would love to see a longer video of this totally cool machine someday. Especially want to see the outer cabinet and controls. Amazing!

  • I love this machine!!! Wish to find one someday......

  • The agitator actually does rapidly oscillate at about 575 RPM, according to my 1966 brochure. I never saw one of these in operation in person. I did get to witness a 1957 Bendix Powersurge, though!

  • how does it work

  • Well on earlier models the agitator rattled. it seems to do the same on this model just not as rapidly.

  • i think it rattles at a ultra sonic speed there for hard to see without a high speed camera

  • @lexmarks567 MY mistake, I found-out the agitator does in fact oscillate! It is basically the same mechanism as the older 1956/7 Power Surge washer. I sure do miss these wonderful top-loaders and phosphate detergents. I'll say it again: GO AWAY ECO-POLICE!!!

  • @JSneaker ... seriously? I know, sudsy detergents are wonderful, but I think you should go back and see what phosphates being flushed from the sewer into the river systems were doing to the environment. It was insane. I love my old machines very much, but as a naturalist and horticulturalist I think that mindset's completely irresponsible.

  • A former Youtube member posted videos of this washer a couple years back, glad to see it in action again.

  • WOW! I love it.
