it wasn't that we wern't using our brains it was that we didnt have a mandatory evacuation until 2-3 days before the storm landed and it took near 15 hours in the car to move 10 miles because the roads were so backed up with hundreds of thousands of people trying to leave the city, so eventually some people gave up and decided to ride out the storm.
What can you do, I mean it is evident that not everyone could have just ran at the first sign of a major hurricane approaching (before the evacuation was considered mandatory). It just seems to be common sense that New Orleans is an accident waiting to happen unless some amazing sophistication in drainage and sea barriers are constructed as well as a better escape route for the people.

A Congrssional Research Service report found no evidence that voters attempting to cast ballots at the polls had been improperly registered by Acorn. People are responsible for the negative actions that were brought to light in Acorn, Not the whole organization.
However, I believe that if Acorn were truly a private charity, they would likely have more of an interest in hiring quality help so that their donations keep coming in. Until now, it's been pretty much guaranteed that they'll get their funding no matter what they do or who they hire. They might do some good works, but let them operate as a true charity.

Not true, ACORN would protest banks who would not donate to them. The Community Reinvestment Act allows donations to ACORN to improve a banks CRA score. If a banks CRA score was not high enough , that bank would be cut off from government programs.

it wasn't that we wern't using our brains it was that we didnt have a mandatory evacuation until 2-3 days before the storm landed and it took near 15 hours in the car to move 10 miles because the roads were so backed up with hundreds of thousands of people trying to leave the city, so eventually some people gave up and decided to ride out the storm.

oh so the way you see it is, it only happend to a couple of people who gang raped someone in iraq so we should not in any way attempt to sort that out, even though the whole company was involved in a cover up
but because a few people in acorn did something wrong, and were then fired, we should destroy it completly and never mind all the good that it has done
get rid of them both or none at all

The problem is that it wasn't just a few people as it was an organization with countless people over time to destroy itself with bad judgement. Any organization that supports child prostitution even once should be destroyed at once. That is only common sense there.

but it was not the orginisation itself that supported it, it was some employees that gave very bad advice, and obviously should be fired and if it was a real case i would also say jaild
but to say because some of the people in it supported a bad thing means the orginisation supports it there
