I remember her first national appearance was on Johnny Carson. She sang 'Johnny Get Angry' a cover of a '60's singer. Lesley Gore....who , years later came out as gay.
This concert was during her "Ingenue" tour. At that point in her life she was living with the pain of a heartbreaking ended love affair. She is totally within herself here--with her eyes closed--crying inside--trying so hard to let go of the pain. My God--she is so beautiful!!!

Her voice is pure velvet and there are many youtube links of Ms Lang singing this - but this unplugged version is so SUBLIME, it makes me weep. What a rare talent and divine voice. Thank you K D.

Oh my word - I saw her in 1984 with kd and the reclines - I knew her voice was a gift then - but this shows such a broad range of intricate and powerful notes! So amazed! Bravo!
