@elsabear99, In the Kopit version from 1990 shown in the screen shots in this video you mean? Well, sort of. You should see for yourself. In addition there are some "tricks" with the Phantom's masks that tease then audience. I like the fact that they are using opera music in this film. The duet towards the end is heart-wrenching and very beautiful. Keeping in mind the story of the opera it is taken from, it is a selection made with careful though, I think.

Charles Dance definitely has the best look for the Phantom. I missed the trademark "hat and cloak" look in the 2004 movie (even the live musical had it!). He's also perfect physically!

Mikael Samuelsson is the only musical Phantom for me. I simply accept no alternatives. All other international Phantoms are like jokes in comparison (in my wee humble opinion of course)!
