Just bought a second hand vinyl lp of Dark Side for 5.99, the only way to listen to music and a much more sensible way to spend your money, the same applies to Nirvana, I got the single lp of Nevermind on vinyl all the ancillary stuff is just tat. Anyways hope you enjoy it.

thanks for sharing that experience with those of us who can ill afford such glorious collectables :) ... the Blu-Ray of course is the 'gem' of the boxset with the 2.0 , 4.0 and 5.1 mixes in glorious 24-Bit / 96 kHz

It seems on the "Wish You Were Here" Immersion Box-Set (which is yet to be released) the hi-res version of the album is the 1974 version which is disapointing to know... Im sure fans would rather have a hi-res version of the new 2011 remaster

The WYWH Immersion set contains the 2001 James Guthrie 5.1 mix in high resolution audio, as well as the stereo and quad mixes in high-res.

@bazzo1995 The honest answer would be: probably not. It is an absolute extravagance. There are two live clips and the background films - that's your lot, which is a bit disappointing, I can tell you. The live concert is a nice thing to hear, but I am not an expert on bootlegs or PF live, so I don't know whether you can get this live stuff elsewhere - if you know what I mean. ;-)

I'm sorry to say I have had an ABYSMAL experience trying to get even one decent set.

Ordered one, then two replacements, even hanging onto all three in the hopes of constructing just one intact set, but alas, each set had multiple dislodged disks, two of which were badly scratched, one of which was ALWAYS Disk 3.

The upshot is that I have been unable to Frankenstein even on intact set.

I'm just sickened at the lack of thought in the packaging.

DSOTM Immersion set is well worth getting if you are a long time fan or new to the band.I was very pleased with the audio presented here. The little live footage that was included was only a tease.The Quad and surround mix are my favorites so far.The early mix sounds a little unfocused but still interesting listen none the less.I will be getting the WYWH box set due out in Nov.
