  • hi i am mika14600 and i am also wanting to build a halfpipe but what woo did you use

    thank you in advance

  • what was the price for this pipe?

  • dou know the price of the halfpipe already?

  • ATTENTION all of youtube!!!!!!! A massive prank will be pulled on the comedian "Fred" on june 1st!!! Here is how the prank works. Once June first hits Everybody who has a life is going to unsubscribe to "Fred" , and its bound to make the news!!!!! Copy and paste to spread the word! If your not sure where to paste this go to popular videos like by nigahiga , rick rolls, 2010 movie trailers, forestfire101, the sneezing panda video, robot chicken, halo vids and more!!!

  • anyone who has a life didn't subscribe in the first place

    fail.

  • shouldnt it be april first?

  • Read the description and he tells you .

  • sick as

  • I see a broken window in your future..

  • nice vid

  • nice pennywise shirt!

  • the black stuff is tar paper between the layers of plywood so that water doesn't seep in an destroy the untreated wood.

  • now you should make a video of you and your friends skating on it.

  • why did u use green wood?

  • its presure treated so that it wont rot when it gets wet as easily as normal lumber does

  • mybe he wanted to

  • what your skating surface masonite? and whats the black stuff

  • tar paper, used to keep the underlying plywood impervious from weather conditions. The surface he is using i think is skatelite

  • I used to have one in my backyard. We had to take it down because it took up so much space.

  • no dnt worry i didnt read the info sorry

  • cn u plzz tell me how long it took u 2 build

  • i bet wen it rains it rots dunnit make sure ya cover it

  • i built mine for approx. 200 dollars. but i got the plywood for free through my job. just finished it this week. about 40 sumthing 2 by fours.

  • How much did it cost overall?

  • how much u spend and what that black stuff u put on

  • that was like $300 to $500. N that black stuff idk but u dont need it i think.

  • that looks like an awesome mini ramp

  • lol

  • me and my friends made one took use 4weeks it is 6feet high 18feet wide coast use 2000$ with left over wood were building a vert wall

  • how much money that cost???

  • Pretty cool dude. everyone go to your house to skate it?

  • hey.. just wondering what did you surface your ramp with ? and did you paint it with anything ?

  • how much did you spend

  • how much did u spend

  • why is the wood blue?

  • its weather treated.

  • yep..didnt notice the shutters..I was just unlucky enough to park my truck by a friends ramp before and got a nice dent from a stray board, now I park far away, but the ramp lokks really cool though.

  • wow thats kind of a bad spot for a ramp dont you think, right by those two big windows.I see broken glass in the future.

  • that's a good remark, but as you can see in the video (especially by looking at the window on the left side), we have rolling shutters in front of the windows, and no, even the shutters aren't even scratched by now :-)

  • my friend made 1 in 1 day and it bigger than this 1

  • sweet mini ramp

  • the black stuff was tar paper for water i think

  • boring! but the halfpipe is pretty cool

  • i think like u know the u put hard wood floors down first u put that black stuff down. that might be it i dont know.

  • the black stuff was not tar paper, but something that we use to put under the roof for water isolation. we call it "delta-vitaxx" in europe. the advantage of this over tar paper, is that the tar paper can melt and get sticky in too high temperatures, which can cause a mess if you ever want to move your ramp and need to decompose it and rebuild it.

  • What was the black stuff you put down like third last layer?

And around how much did this cost?

  • how much did it cost?

  • how much did you spend on it

  • hahahha i watched the whole thing waiting to see u guys on it. hahaha

    im gonna make one.

    was it expensive?

    and about how hard?

also how did u bend the wood?

  • wood is bendy naturally.

it'll bend if it is thin enough.

  • Pipe looks good, y'don't see as many good backyard pipes as one would think... usually too tight a transition or too small a flat... nice to see dad and friends in there with the help... how are the nieghbours with the noise... I had a 12' wide 5' tall mini for 7 years and had a very big yard, but the neighbours just 'dealt' with it...

I know it can be a problem... I tried insulating the ramp with fiberglass insulation, boxing it in... nothing really works well to hide the noise... good work!

  • the neighbours havent complained yet, but i'm only skating for max 1 hour a week (got a busy job) and not late at night...

we tried placing stacks of hay beneath the transitions of the ramp, but it did not lower the noise 1 bit. the cat is very happy with the hay however :-)

  • loving the music bro very 50's

  • tis a beautiful sight to see

  • you still have glass in those windows?

  • lol, that's a good remark, but as you can see in the video (especially by looking at the window on the left side), we have rolling shutters in front of the windows, and no, even the shutters aren't even scratched by now :-)

  • nice! can you post a movie where you test it out?

  • looks beautiful, but i think its a bit too long for a little drop like that u wont get to the otehr side with just one drop in, should of made the drop taller a bit

  • nice mann but i just have a question im making one of these and the top layer is gonna b masonite, after the winter is it still going to b nice and skateable or does masonite get ruined by water?

  • i have no idea, but we put a big waterproof-rubber canvas over the ramp when the weather is bad, that helps a lot.

  • Niiiiiice. Im moving out to the country tomorrow! and I know exactly what I am doing as soon as I get there, building one of these. Only thing is you should have gotten more pictures at different angles of the finished product. But the music was sweet. Lol

  • nicee y made one half piep with my father

    at my guard

  • I'm so jealous

  • hw many days did this take

  • too many...

  • it took us around 4 days

  • cool and funny

  • how wide and long its it

  • i want one so bad!

  • i didnt see any coping.

  • you can see the copings being placed around 1:50 in the video

  • ohh, they are pretty small but this is a chill minipipe

  • how much did all that cost you??

  • What was the black layer that you put on b 4 the top layer???

  • me and my friend just made one in his garge, 8x18 feet.

400-500 if you want it to be nice.

but you could get away with 300-350 for a o.K one

  • naw there much more...

  • About how much did it cost you in wood

  • you should make a skating video on your half pipe

  • leute ich find die konstruktion echt hammer

aber des is ne mini-ramp und keine half-pipe

  • how steep would too steep be for a 3' ramp?

  • pretty hot ramp dude

now u should make a skating video on your new ramp ;)

  • i am built this same mini from those same plans for extremeskater. except mine is not green and its 3 ft high and 8 ft wide, same length though

  • i have a 3 by 8 in my garage pretty sick man

  • wut size is that

  • the specifications are in the "about this video" section :)

    Height: 1m -- 3.28 feet

    Width: 3m -- 9.84 feet

    Length: 7.5m -- 24.6 feet (including platforms)

  • wut size is that

  • thats pretty cool

i made one it took us a whole month since we had school and pretty much so much home work to do...but yalls is better.are yall experienced or wut????

  • no experience at all! but it helps to have a carpenter as a friend :)

  • wat covering did u use

  • no special covering unfortunately. it sucks with rainy weather, it needs to dry for at least 3 or 4 hours, or else the wet wood will slow you down terribly!

  • oh okay but where can you find the wood for the top layer?

  • did you use a special foundation like cyndir blocks or a level piece of cement?

  • good remark! when we bought this house, a foundation was already there for the rv/motorhome of the previous owner.

i think it is a level piece of cement, with cyndir blocks on top.

On top of that we used a layer of small pebbles, to get everything levelled.

  • i'd really like to ride this thing right now, because it's raining outside, and in the video the weather is fine ;)

  • awsome

  • thats sick im getting one similar

  • My mini half pipe costed around 1000 bucks, but idk what kind of wood we used, but we started from scratch and bought everything

  • very good video.. i am from sweden and i whant to bulid a mine half pipe to! great video!

  • you buy that litlle half pipe

  • what did u use instead of tar paper? i am building a mini ramp and hope it turns out as good as urs.

  • how much did it cost?

  • what kind of tools did u need to build it

  • a big circular saw to cut the wood in pieces, and a couple of electronic screwdrivers. i think these are the most important. you don't want to screw +1000screws manually :-)

  • i did haha and trust me you DONT want to haha

  • how much did it cost????

  • yeah its called tar paper, its to prevent water from seeping in on the plywood.

  • We didn't use tar paper actually. One of the plans advised us to use tar paper, but we thought that the tar paper could melt onto the wooden plates if the weather would get really hot. And if we would ever like to move the halfpipe to another place, then we would need to decompose it, and that would be impossible if the surface was melted together with the tar paper.

This plastic thing that we used keeps its solid form in "all" temperatures...

  • wow this is SOOOOOO cool, i want on just like it, nice job

  • I want to build a skate ramp and i live in Belgium but the wood is so expensive how much did that ramp cost and which country did you get the wood from?

  • the wood was bought at the local "wood-merchant", the wood is originally from norway i think, and it is indeed very expensive.

you can count on *at least* 1000eur, and then you haven't even counted all the screws that you need :-) (more than 1000 screws)

  • yea cheers man

  • wot is the black stuff put under the final layer of wood?

  • i don't know how to say it in english :-)

it's called vitaxx and it's some kind of firm foil that you normally put under a roof of a house, to make sure that no water drips in when you have a leeking roof...

so it's actually to prevent water to go to the bottom layer. this way we should only have to replace the final layer of wood when it gets rotten over the years... (and hopefully i'm speaking of 5 or 10 years!)

i hope this was some kind of help to you

  • tar paper

  • Awesome.

  • coool!!... plz tell me all the info for do exacly the same half pipe plz I want one my E-mail is azulpacifico789@hot...

  • we used the plans from the websites that are mentioned in the information box next to the video, these are all that you need to get started...

    good luck!

  • no towels!
