@thowmaz Misschien beter opletten? de Golf R heeft een 2.0 TSI(4 cilinder) motor terwijl de R32(Golf 4/5) een 3.2 liter VR6 24klepper (6 cilinder) heeft, beide dus geen 3 cilinder, daarnaast geeft de R32 een roffel waar je kippenvel van krijgt, vooral met een aftermarket uitlaat of zelfs al de flappermod, en met aanpassingen in het inlaat traject al helemaal.

Maarja, milieu normen hebben ervoor gezorgd dat er geen VR meer inzit :(

@taypuc31 because it has the same 2.0T as a GTI so they are selling an underpowered GTI to the public, so if you think about it the 3.2L VR6 was just as underpowered that they put in the R32, or hell even the 2.8L i have and i get 30+ mpg cruising around and it sounds so much better then the 2.0T and if you look at the available turbos for the 3.2L or the 2.8L they can easily get 500+whp so it has the massive ability to tune rather then a 4 pot with lots of turbo lag

@conza1989 BTW both the Cupra R and the Scirocco R have an electronic lsd called an XDS system which works with the esp system to reduce torque steer and understeer. (But you didn't know that). The Golf has a haldex based AWD system which is not worth the same money as an S3 with its own Quattro system! A 240hp Leon Cupra with a revo upgrade can go faster than a Golf R is infinity times better looking, is exclusive, cheaper & has VW mechanicals but if you like to bum the VW badge its ur choice!

@Dimitri0809 The Golf R is noticeable to car enthusiasts but to anyone who isn't ,the only elements that make it really stand out from a standard Golf are the wheels, the exhausts and a couple of badges. Compared to a Focus RS, Cupra R (UK) and the Megane RS, the R is subtle and forgetable. Not suprised because Golf buyers are generally boring people who lack personality. They're people who you'd naturally avoid at a party and they'd lose their car in a carpark if it weren't for their alarm fob!
