@azj1234alex - LOL, that's funny. They were born almost 4 years ago now. They are all small EU size whippets. the tallest one is 20.5" with most of the males being in the 19.75 & 20.25" area (as opposed to most N.American whips that are over 21") and the girls were ALL 18" except for one who is 18.75".
@lepusreg aww so they aren't 8 weeks in the video?? haha confused!! i've got a whippet she's 4 years old now too but i have no clue how tall she is! she's just had 8 pups! and they are 2 weeks and 2 days old!

I got my whippet when he was 8 weeks old and now he's 8 years old. He is the most lovable, sweetest dog in the world. He loves everyone and everything. If you have a loving nature and are kind and patient with animals, a Whippet is your kind of dog. If you're the type who is impatient and yells or swats your dog, a Whippet isn't for you. They are vey sensitive to how they are treated. Give them love. It's what they deserve and you'll get it back a plenty.
@Robin18us - Robin that is correct, but i will say that this is pretty much true of most dog breeds. As the old saying goes: you attract bees with nectar, not vinegar. do onto others as you would have done to you. :O)
you see for having a whippet for the 15 years of my life now, i can certianly tell anyone that when they are little cute puppies like the ones that are shown on this video they are generally cute and semi-non destructive (at least mine was) but, however as they start getting older they start to turn into a little thing i like to call a pesky wippet (they take up your bed, couch, your chair and is a blanket thief)!
but whippets are good to love and to cuddle and keep warm with :)
@southpolesmileyface1 , i tell people who want a whippet that they are like greyhounds. they like their comfort and will require thick bedding and warmth. Most like to sleep in bed with their owners because they are very pack oriented and need the comfort of being with their pack leader (you). If you don't like that/want that, then don't get a whippet or a greyhound or Italian greyhound. ;O)) These dogs are very cold intolerant, unless they can run to keep warm. Blankets & coats r a must.
you don't know your breeds so well, or you would not think they look like pitters. they look NOTHING like pitter puppies. heads are TOTALLY different.
they are gorgeous, especially little luke (too cute for words!) 5* the person that said $15000 might mean $1500 to $1800 here in australia it's about $1000 for a female (people pay $1500 for a cross maltese in a pet shop!). rescue if you can, but not many people surrender their whippets since they don't have many problems. otherwise find a registered breeder (not a backyard breeder or a pet shop!). i used to be a dog trainer and i would recommend whippets to anyone!!
I'd rather get a pup from a good breeder. Yes, they're more expensive than a rescue, but you're a lot less likely to have problems with the dog, such as health or behavioral problems. We've always gotten our dogs from show breeders, and we end up with happy, healthy adults. You get what you pay for, IMO.
You should look at a shelter for one, thats probably the best idea.... whippets and whippet puppies are quite expensive usually. We got ours (Truman) for free because my moms a vet and Truman grew too big to show so the breeder just gave him to us. But usually around
$15 000 - $18 000, like I said QUITE expensive. So you should probably try to rescue one. :)
