  • why guys playing female character? For what? Looking and fap?

  • @Libnekrib It's a 3rd person view. If I'm gonna be staring at an ass for however many hours I would prefer that ass to be female. Not to fap, it's just more pleasant.

  • fuck wow fuck guild wars suck it!

  • @AQWgoku1179 how bout i just dislike all the vids u posted, thats what i do with the haters i come across

  • @AQWgoku1179 WOW YOU PLACE SOME 5 YEAR OLD GAMES, I MEAN, ROBLOX? WTF?

  • @AQWgoku1179 Faggot.

  • It would be great if u could balance the volumes between the music and the speaking :)

    But great vid anyways!

  • you make such a good commentator, and the music you put in matches to the desire of watching this video ;)

    Great job.

  • watching those epic cities with that music.... this game is my new world.. not even kidding.

Might sound nerdy but I will nerd-play this game so much! It's the future!!!!

  • song name?

  • REALLY hope this game is not another SWTOR.. God they keep ruining the game every patch rofl

  • @battyboy50 For real, I spent a hundred bucks on the game and the time card because I couldn't use the free month without buying time, in other words rendering the free month pointless. I get into the game, it lags like hell because it overuses my CPU and on top of that the only thing making it new is the 3 way dialogue. Which I can live without.

  • who cares if this will kill wow or not....like i give a fuck.Wow was a good game ...for those to wish to move on , gl but dont bash wow. So much hate towards wow lol xD

  • after playing GW1 for a good while i found one big problem. your level was just a number and mostly meaningless. yes it was easy to level. too easy. i got to max level (20 at that time) and found NPCs at level 24. i worked to get everything. best gear i could and abilities. and i still got my rear handed to me most times. only when henchmen came into the game did i do better. GW2 might be better. i can only hope so cuz i need a new game.

  • WE DON'T WANT WOW TO DIE. If it dies ALL of the immature kids, elitists, pricks, and general idiots will come to GW2! WoW's community is awful! Let everyone who likes WoW stay with WoW. GW2 stresses making a community tight-knit, and unites! If the WoW players come over that idea will become obsolete because the overall community will be filled with dicks. WoW needs to stay alive to keep the balance. WoW keeps most of the bad people so we don't have to. Let's make GW2 friendly, fun, and mature.

  • @SpennyPwns You got the point. I really hope the stressed/crazy kids of WoW will stay on WoW and let mature players to play GW2... in peace :D

  • @SpennyPwns I bet you played tons of World of Warcraft and you're probably a complete douche.

  • @SpennyPwns Damn your acctually right. but we dont have to worry about that if they do make a WC4 because not only will the WoW fans go there but it will also help blizzard. you see alot of people played WC3 because of the fun strategy and tacitics and the Main Reason being the LORE! the game was fun. if they dont make WC4 they might aswell Just put a gun in their head and pull the trigger. because WoW cataclysim's end ruined the Story and lore. but i Support you man WE WANT GW2!!!!!

  • @SpennyPwns it's impossible, the game will die of natural causes in the next year or so (it's had a very impressive run)

  • I'm sick of the "WoW Killer" term. No MMO will "kill" WoW. WoW will just die (it already is actually) of old age and that's it. Comparing some aspects between the 2 games is not wrong. Calling every single MMO that will release a "WoW Killer" is an epic fail though,

  • IF leveling is the way u say it will be- thumbs up, i just fell in love with arenanet- cuz im a powerleveler what cn i do about it, but i also have a life so it makes it hard when u Dont play every day or u cant complete events cuz of playing at weird hours(aye, its annoying when u read 3million players but heck im alone out here, im from spain and usually up at 1/2 am so its like-....-) bump for Nice leveling:P

  • I don't get it, why do people care so mutch about a WoW killer?

  • @huijzen Becuase we all hate wow but its sadly still the best MMO, GW2 is completly ailen to the avg MMO and we can't wait :D

  • does anyone knows when you fail a dynamic event?

  • @Ivohooy

every event has a different set of fail/success conditions

  • @irurwurst okay thanks

  • Tquatl looks like a beast :D and he's just a champion. Imagine how big and epic Zhaitan will be :D nerdgasm!!!!!

  • If a DPS pulls, then they are to blame for not mitigating their damage to keep themselves alive, their death causes the monster to take less damage, making the fight longer, depleting their healers mana if that class is not built for regen.

  • All removing the Holy Trinity System does, is stop people from having to be accountable for the "class" they choose to play. In most other MMO's, Such as WoW, if you rolled a tank Class you should be aware of what the expectations are. If you roll a healer, you should expect that you will have to to keep at least the tank alive.

  • @djslayde Firstly, they didn't completely remove the Holy Trinity system... The Healer is evidently spread amongst all the classes, if you die, you are either not dodging the monsters attacks or not using your self-heal skills. YOU are accountable for EVERYTHING you do, and the blame should never fall onto anyone else. People shouldn't be forced to know everyone's roles and play along. Guild Wars 2 has dynamic combat, changes all the time, you have to try and make the battle how you want it.

  • TOR didnt fail... There are still many active subscriptions, the only reason it lost subscriptions is because all the kiddies couldnt get ahold of their mommies credit card when the free 30 days was up and they were forced to subscribe...

Plus...not many people are going to like the fact that they are "scaled down" to a level 13 when they spent countless hours leveling up to BE that powerful.

  • 11 people dont like facerolling

  • This is an excellent system because I feel as though I won't ever have to worry about leveling because it will just happen naturally as I progress through the game. Like through quests, dynamic events, and such.

  • anyone remembering the grind thru old ascalon to lvl 20 for that stupid achivement

  • this reward system was first used in warhammer online... i think... and it's wonderful that they implemented this system in GW 2... the same with the dynamic quest... and the best thing is ...they improved these systems to a x-times higher level. This is the game i will play!

  • omg, this may be it, TOR failed, Rift came close but this just may be the WoW killer

  • @kickassmage No, I don't want it to be the WoW killer. One of the things that Anet is emphasizing on is a healthy community for each server, WoW killed of its community 10 fold with each coming patch, let the WoW kids stay where they are.

  • @kickassmage warhammer online was gonna be the one. but it flopped forever ago :,(

  • @kickassmage this IS the wow killer...

  • @kickassmage lol....rift came close....not at all xD

  • @kickassmage I haven't played WoW in months, and don't plan to anytime soon, if ever again; and I plan on getting this when it comes out. But I think the only thing that will kill WoW is when blizzard shuts down the servers. The fanbase is simply too huge. Especially since this is free to play, so people will feel like they can play both this and another mmo. I'll probably be doing the same with this and Tera.

  • @kickassmage How can you kill something that's already dead?

  • @kickassmage Yea if they ever release it! I'm dieing of suspense!

  • if higher levels get scaled down can you get from lvl 1 to 80 in the beginning zones because your character will be scaled down to say level10 so you get xp from lvl 10's or does scaling down grant no xp?

  • @dukishlygreat You will still get EXP when you are scaled up or down. But if your level 65 and join a friend who's level 30, you will get the same experience as he does (or maybe just a little more, but I highly doubt that).

  • So basically there ripping off Matrix Online's Dynamic Missions & City of Heroes/Villians sidekick (very transparent) systems with scaling and a default exp gain that players will abuse so every level will feel the same & the satisfaction from finally gaining the last few levels is gone. Why is this a good idea again?

  • @EdwardElric555 I think you are getting mixed up a little... Dynamic Events in GW2 is completely different, ArenaNet literally created 1,500+ (minimum, they said) DIFFERENT types of Dynamic Events... and these all can chain differently, depending how well the players proceed (fail or succeed, one or the other). Chains can only be activated upon certain factors, I can be going into a cave... a tomb is in front of me and signs say, "DO NOT OPEN!"... I open it and this creates a DE for everyone.

  • @SirMirex7 1500+ that's complete bullshit.

  • @EdwardElric555 If you've been following on the updates from ArenaNet and a few websites... you would have heard this in the interview.

And think about it... you wont be able to experience ALL Dynamic Events as they come, some may take time to be activated, you will most definitely replay some in a year and others you just wont. Different DE's in every section of the map, yeah good luck trying to experience it as they come. But eventually we all will experience every DE.

  • @EdwardElric555 Not to mention this... ArenaNet have stated they will have a dedicated team added content EVERY week or two. So, number of Dynamic Event chains will go up.

1,500+ seems very little if you consider this fact.

  • @EdwardElric555 Did I say they would be making new towns? No... that was all you, and what I meant about not experiencing everything was this:

Some are activated on a timely basis, everyone will not be able to experience it when it comes so they have to wait till next time... who knows how long that will take. Some DEs will be concurrent, and replayed more frequently than other DEs, due to chains or single instances. Therefore if you want to experience all DEs, you'll need more than a year.

  • @EdwardElric555 The team that will be adding new content per week or two we currently do not know... patches, new DE events, DE chains, balancing and tweaking, unlikely make new skills (and animations for them etc)...

New towns WILL not be one of them... they don't have the time, they'd most likely bring this in a new update. I'd consider you to join the Facebook for GW2... all information goes there, and the regulars there know this and a lot more.

  • Comment removed

  • @EdwardElric555 This point is irrelevant... ArenaNet has more than three times the team they had when they developed Guild Wars. They have been developing for over 5 years now, 5 year to create 1500+ DEs isn't really impossible... costly maybe, but they know their business model more than anyone else.

It worked for GW and it will work for GW2, just wait and see.

  • @SirMirex7 Then why doesn't NCSoft or EA rule the MMOs? NCSoft has been in the bis developing and publishing MMOs since 1998 & EA with Ultima Online since 1997. And both have lost with significant amounts of money from failed MMOs or a drained up and worn out fanbase. So experience is a main factor but it doesn't equal success in the MMO business. Look I'm not saying this game is going to be a failure. I'm just annoyed at this prick attitude & ignorance. GW 2 is not the 2nd coming it's an MMO.

  • @EdwardElric555 Dude... many MMOs have failed for a lot of reasons, not because lack of experience. Too many MMOs have been compared to WoW, for a reason. Quality and Ease of Use. Too many MMOs have tried to copy WoW in so many aspects and tried to be different one way or another, and that is why they are failing. Not saying exp is worthless, it's a good trait to have.

ArenaNet has done it, 1500+ DEs and has been confirmed. GW didn't fail, GW2 wont fail. ArenaNet know what they are doing.

  • @SirMirex7 So then why is Guild Wars 2 being compared to WoW because it plays like WoW in too many ways. There is not enough big differences, at least with GW 1 it was heavily instance based but this is just a joke. And you can not convince me that they can make new DEs every week or so on the fly and not just have a lot of them being rehashes or a lot of over sights.

  • @EdwardElric555 I don't know why it's being compared to WoW... WoW is old, mechanics are different to GW2 (not to mention GW2 is newly developed). I say these two games are nothing alike, but in terms of ideas of course ideas from GW2 were inspired from somewhere else just ArenaNet has developed something new out of it.

The new content weekly can be anything dude, not just DEs... information regarding this is subject to change so we don't know the details of it yet. We'll just have to wait.

  • @SirMirex7 Okay you just wrote the most retarded statement I've ever read. No, GW 2 shares many mechanics with WoW. Also being new doesn't equal a good product. And make sure you remember subject to change, because here's the truth devs lie all the damn time because there's too much money involved to be brutally honest with there fans and not create hype.

  • @EdwardElric555 You obviously do no know the term mechanics when it comes to game design... The mechanics are different to WoW, but the fundamentals came from many MMOs and other game genres put into GW2. Tell me a mechanic that WoW has and convey it towards any mechanics in GW2. You'll find similarities at best but never the same.

Subject to change, but that still means they'll be more than at least 800 DEs, I do remember them stating it take less than a year to go through all the DE content.

  • @SirMirex7 It's actually called game mechanics. You swing a sword your opponent takes damage based on the stats of your sword and your character and your opponents, the algorisms(fucking YT spell checker, algorisms is A WORD) are different but the mechanic is the same. Finding NPCs to give you quests that one is definitely the same. Every time you level up your stats go up. See this is easy.

  • @EdwardElric555 Don't take this 'conversation' the wrong way first of all... may seem like an argument, but it isn't in my point of view hopefully its the same for you.

Anyway, GW2 you don't go up to NPCs for quests, DE get activated and some NPCs may come up to you to make sure you are aware of a DE in progress. DE fill in the gap of quests yes, make it more interesting. But these DEs has pros and cons, unlike quests. So taking a town can benefit all players, losing it may have a major impact.

  • @SirMirex7 A friend of mine told me that it would have standard quest givers, which makes sense if players are unlucky and miss the DE they can always quest as normal. I don't think the impact will be very noticeable, a good example is FF XI Online where every area had gauges for which nation was good in an area and over the course of the game the leaders from launch day are the same leaders today. That may happen the GW2 where the players are too good and there doesn't come a change.

  • @SirMirex7 Also the game design for both of them is about doing tasks for NPC to level up to be stronger to fight harder challenge. Both WoW & GW2 do this but GW2 adds DE to hopeful make it seem more interesting. So yeah you compare the 2 because they share a lot of similarities and some of the same game mechanics.

  • @EdwardElric555 I guess if you put it that way as in level up to go beat harder content, then yes in this way this would be the root of the mechanics, however, I think it is inevitable that the game will end up like this. Otherwise, what is the point in playing?

In my point of view I believe GW2 may (wont know till it is out) finally change the face of what a MMO is, it's a long stretch when this is coming from ArenaNet but for everything we have seen, it doesn't seem unlikely.

  • @SirMirex7 It's not a root of a mechanic. It's a game mechanic. Game mechanics basically means rules with structure for fun. I hope it influences someone, and another dev team looks and says we can take some risks. Because for as much as I'm bashing it and coming down on it. There's a lot of interesting ideas, I just think there needs to be more work or research into these ideas to see if it gets the desired result. And I'm not talking about a Beta that's just to find bugs at the end of the day.

  • @EdwardElric555 Na, they got rid of traditional questing entirely. As in, go to a NPC, kill x rats, and return for your reward. But their are NPCs called scouts where they lead the players into a direction if they don't know what to do. This was given the option because a lot of people just want to do their own thing, and ArenaNet have given that to them... however, there are still some who aren't familiar with MMOs and such and gave scouts to counter this problem.

  • @SirMirex7 Firstly kill x amount of anything is not a traditional quest, it's a basic quest calling it traditional doesn't make any sense. I have the option to level any way I want in any MMO. I personally like grind parties because I like the challenge of fighting something 10 levels higher then me. The scout thing reminds me of those guys that just walk around in circle in towns that tell you all the landmarks. No problem there.

  • @EdwardElric555 Also, the only time a NPC would come up to you is basically to tell you about a DE happening near by... you don't have the option to decline or accept. The acceptance happens by you going to the area in which the NPC has stated, like town x is being attacked by centaurs (usually the town you are in). Other examples as well but details are scarce in quantity. Declining obviously means not going. However, NPCs don't have to tell you, you would normally walk through these events.

  • @EdwardElric555 All these innovations and such coming from ArenaNet is pretty interesting. Some of these innovations, like no more inter-dependence between classes to complete area x or have to have build x to complete certain areas, posses an interesting concept and question: will it work out as they think it would? Pretty sure ArenaNet has covered that and know what they are doing but it's one of those things that you must experience for yourself, and others as well.

  • @SirMirex7 I've said before that the DEs are heavily influenced by Matrix Online and there way those missions worked, this is not a brand new idea just a more refined one. And I'm not saying ArenaNet are idiots or don't know what there doing. I just don't buy into hype. Also I bet anything a few classes will be clearly better then others at a party role, it's not incompetence, it's oversights that all MMOs devs face in the first few months.

  • @EdwardElric555 I've never heard of Matrix Online lol... and to be honest I highly doubt ArenaNet would have directly got the influence from MxO since they did the research themselves, they looked at the pros and cons of MMOs today and how could they make it better. GW2 is the result of this research they have done. You have to give them credit for being different and not being influenced by one game or two alone. Of course the mechanics are somewhat similar to others but as a whole, different.

  • @SirMirex7 I am giving them credit. I know where they got alot of these ideas from. And they have what looks to be a great job. I just don't believe this will revolutionise MMOs.

  • @EdwardElric555 I don't think it'll completely revolutionise MMOs, I think it'll just change the way how we look at a MMO and what we expect - Production Quality.

After this games comes out, if a MMO incorporates anything similar to the Holy Trinity system I will not bother. I hate that system, it is flawed beyond belief in too many aspects. I'm just glad ArenaNet are trying something different, unlike other companies who don't have the balls to do so.

  • @SirMirex7 Wait doesn't GW 2 only really have 3 party roles, so how is not a Holy Trinity? Besides if you wanna play an MMO that isn't just 3 party roles try City of Heroes/Villian if you research how pros play the game you can play any class and fight solo or in groups, or Ultima Online which is hard to describe how parties work it's kind of random, or FF XI Online where the games all about multi classing and a lot of crunch for a lot of boss encounters. Or D&D online that's the same thing.

  • @EdwardElric555 The Holy Trinity hasn't been taken out completely, except with the Healer class... there are no healer classes in GW2, which I'm sure you are aware of. However, each class can fulfil each (except the Healer role) as they so wish, using Traits and the build he/she is using. All classes can heal, some like the Guardian can heal others but doesn't do much good when the heal isn't that much compared to the Guardian healing him/herself. This just means the dependency is gone...

  • @EdwardElric555 The dependency is gone between each class, no more having to have DPS, Tank and a Healer. All classes can heal, all classes can Tank to an extent, some worse than others but they can still tank... same with the DPS role. Healing has been made for ALL classes since if you die you are either not dodging the monsters massive attacks or not using your self-heal skills properly. So you can't really blame anyone else for your death. That's what I like personally, compared to like, WoW

  • @EdwardElric555 Third part, and last for the comment... lol

The Holy Trinity system in most MMOs were like... Tank, DPS, Heal... over and over and over again till the monster is defeated. If the Tank dies he/she probably didn't do it properly but mainly the blame falls on the Healer for not healing properly. That's one reason why many people preferred to be the DPS role since the blame can't be put on you compared to the Tank and Healer. ArenaNet finally got rid of this aspect and I'm excited.

  • @SirMirex7 I see what you mean there and this is certainly something to give a soloer a more stable backing to go from lvl 1 to 80. And it's kind of like CoH where everybody super charges there health so healer aren't necessary but evading is the key. But for team play I don't really know honestly it could be fun but I fear it might make everybody samey.

  • @EdwardElric555 We'll just have to see... personally I doubt people will be able to solo everything in game, eventually, but not at the start. Also, cross profession combos I'm fairly sure will play a role in team building, like your better off together than alone situations. Also, solo'ing to me has one disadvantage... if you go into a down state, the only way you can get back up is killing a monster or you die. So, I'd prefer being near people or go with friends to be honest.

  • @SirMirex7 The Holy Trinity system forces you to be social and rely on other people and work as a team. If you want a game you can play entirely by yourself, go play Diablo2.

MMO...Massive Multiplayer Online. Not I can do everything of any class so I dont have to rely on anyone else for anything.

  • @djslayde No, the Holy Trinity DOES not force you to be social and work as a team... all it does is create a dependency between the classes, you rely on everyone to fulfil their roles, if one fails you all do. It has always been a flawed system, but we can never get rid of it because it one of the core mechanics of a MMO.

Guild Wars 2 is finally getting rid of the inter-dependency between classes, but the roles are still there, just presented differently.

  • @djslayde To me I just prefer to do my own thing, play the way I want to play not what the game forces me to play... I want to fulfil a role that I choose not be forced to do what the developers has already pre-set into the game.

I'm not sure if you even like what ArenaNet is trying to do with Guild Wars 2. Everyone knows the Holy Trinity does not encourage team work whatsoever, only creates DEPENDENCIES between each class, why is that fun?

  • @SirMirex7 exactly,i agree...copies of wow are never as good , which is why i dont play mmo's anymore. why play a shittier version of wow if i quit the real thing? GW2 is a different game thats not trying to beat WoW at its own game, its made a whole new one, in a sense.

  • @SirMirex7 arenanet owners are old blizzard employees, So no wonder that they know what their doing.

  • @Ajzull To be honest, as much as I'd like to agree with you. I have to say working with a company may influence success, like the founders of ArenaNet obviously have. So, just because they worked at Blizzard doesn't necessarily mean they know what they are doing.

It's like if someone went and got a Harvard Business Bachelors degree, and someone else went to some other University, much less prestigious, you cannot say the Harvard graduate knows what he/she is talking about due to their degree.

  • @Ajzull To be honest, as much as I'd like to agree with you. I have to say working with a company may influence success, like the founders of ArenaNet obviously have. So, just because they worked at Blizzard doesn't necessarily mean they know what they are doing.

  • @EdwardElric555 For starters, this helps build a healthy community. Not just the sidekick system but the dynamic event system as well, Anet knows that maxing out your level and raiding isn't the "do all be all" of an MMo, this is one of the main things that the current MMo audience fails to understand, thanks to WoW. There are literally dozens of dungeons in the GW2 gameworld, if you missed quite a few in the lower levels you can scale down to that level and still have a challenge.

  • @Supajayare Sidekicking didn't help CoH build a healthy community so why would it help the GW 2 players? Dynamic events doesn't encourage building a party or guild. Yes it is the do all end if you just have an MMO focused on combat, do you really think a player at the top level will do a low level dungeon for the lulz. No they want to win and win fast.

  • March and April for GW2 Beta :DDDD

    says right there!

    .arena.net/blog/dragon

  • My question is what do I get when I level, a new talent, or skill point or something along those lines.

  • @BMac7773 From what I've read and saw, there is a skill points system. But traits and skills are aquired in different ways: depending on the weapon you use, depending on your race and depending on your profession, and completing different challanges. You may read this *official GW2 page-> The Game-> Combat-> Part 1 and 2* for official and comprehensive informations

    o/

  • I like it all but the scaling down fails, I dont like the idea of the game taking away the power i have earned.

  • @Terra1311I know it can be weird at a first look, but the game doesn't take away the power you have earned. The scaling down helps you to immerse in every event, having fun with other players during that event. If you are a good player and you know how to use your skills and how to control the battle, you will always have the feeling to being powerful and to have a fierce opponent against you to.

I think that you won't pay attention to the scaling down while gaming ^^

    sorry4myEnglish

  • @Terra1311 You just don't understand the game dynamics. This game aims to prevent people from smashing through lower level stuff so people who haven't experienced it won't get denied the experience. This game isn't designed the same way you think an mmo is...this game is unlike anything you have played before. When you play your character for example you don't simply get stronger based on higher level spells, thats only half of it, the other half is knowing how to play your character.

  • @Terra1311 They don't take away anything, if you think about how game play in this game works. You are still challenged even in low level and you don't get scaled down all the way, you are still 3 levels higher than the lowest level area you are in. It keeps people on their toes...this game encourages playing with others, while all other mmo's discourage certain classes in groups, isolate certain group make ups and make you fearful of other players stealing your stuff.

  • @kingkhaloof

I agree with you. It is very confusing. I won't want to get from 1-10 and 10-20 and so on in just a couple of hours! That would be really outrageous! They make this game seem so easy. I just hope when it releases that explain in a better way cause right now I'm puzzled since leveling is my main concern for this game :(

  • I'm really confused here, no level scaling?? If it is what i think it is, u can get to level 80 in a day? except if leveling from 1 to 2 takes a whole day or something :/ please explain.

  • @kingkhaloof I think the scaling from 1-10 is lower. it raises once after level 10. I also see this not scaling critical. lets see how it works out.

  • @kingkhaloof Supposedly an hour - two hours per level. Arenanet is shooting for 80-100 Hours roughly to hit max level.

  • @kingkhaloof This isn't a typical mmo though, the combat and scaling of events plays into the difficulty of the game a lot. This game doesn't restrict you upon reaching a certain level, like for instance you don't have linear raids that say you can only bring 25 people in here, or 10. Remember, this mmo is all about being alert and knowing what to do, you can dodge and it actually matters when you do skills to prevent death. Leveling isn't nearly as important as in other typical mmo's.

  • @kingkhaloof But you can't make it to 80 is a day, that's ridiculous. The game is meant to challenge you no matter where you go. 5 man dungeons are going to be the challenging parts of the game, the first time you go into one you go through a story mode of the dungeon but the next time it will be so much more challenging. Try to throw out all your old thinking about MMO's.....you can win fights with 5 rangers, 5 warriors or whatever if all your teammates can play well.

  • @Antimidation Don't forget this information... an ArenaNet developer confirmed this, after level 20 I think it was, it takes roughly the exact same amount of time to level from 20-21 as does 79-80 throughout... but they did say this, if you are in an area farming EXP that gives you the highest amount of EXP per hour for your level it takes roughly 90 minutes to progress each level. You are talking about 90 FULL hours to level from 20-80 gaining max amount of EXP in an area.

  • @Antimidation Ran out of space... anyway, as I was saying... by the end of the 1st week or even 2nd week of GW2 being out, there will be a few level 80s running about. That's because these people have no lives you know? So, you'll see a nice number of level 80s after a month of the games release.

  • I'm in love and haven't even played yet!!!

  • Is there a controls video? Cuz these controls are confusing me. Do you aim your attacks? I know you can dodge... but... are you locked on target at all times? O.o super confused.

  • @Syeno Some attacks are aimed, like a multi shot by the ranger. other will be auto aim and hit whatever you have targeted.

  • GoodGuyGuildwars.

game has higher level cap in version 2

still takes as long to get there as in version 1

  • Everytime he stops talking, *music kicks in and is like, "FUCKIN EPIC MAN!"*

  • this game is the shiznet!!!1

  • sidekicking has been proven in the past to be a terrible idea. Everything else looks awesome!

  • @Chosenwaffle ummm no, it was fantastic in FFXI and helped out a lot with putting groups together. Otherwise parties would have rarely come together. It's a great concept and is very effective.

  • If you gain experience while side kicking will you be sent back down to original level or gain a level if you happen to gain that much exp?

  • @Tmurray925 you'll be sidekicked up the whichever level the highest person is, and you will gain exp for the level you are currently at, and if the highest leveled person levels up, then so do you.

  • 2012 is the end of the world..... of warcraft...

  • @Sylvanas17 lol at your name being sylvanas, but ya its true.

  • @Sylvanas17 when is the game comming out ? how do u know its comming 2012

  • @Shutpoem Try looking on the website.

  • @MrWames i can agree with you there, but... do you really need 3 solid reasons why? isn't the game suppose to be played because its fun? not to get to the level cap, that's my opinion :)

  • when I look at this game I think of Skyrim and Allods...

  • CB is over now a few tests and then open BETA and release :DDDD

  • The best part of this vid is it showed me that a leveld down high level still has more skills available but the stats go down thats awesome i was worried.

  • I just wanted to correct something,

you said that the time it takes from level 10->11 is the same as from the lvl 79->80

which is wrong, the leveling curve flattens once lvl 20 is reached. therefore the amount of xp needed to go from 2->3 is not the same from 12->13 .. on the otherhand, 21->22 takes the same amount of xp as 79->80

  • well... i'm off to go camp my local game-store until guild wars is there

  • @Cekes119 ok! cu there!

  • that boss looked pretty pimpin'

  • gr8 videos!

  • can't wait :D it looks and sounds awesome :)

  • I hope it turns out good, im just worried it will still end up killing x amount of wolves etc.. and the events will be repetetive and if I have to play an event more then one time it will be less fun. The game looks good im just a bit cynical.

  • What?! No more owning lower levels in pvp areas?! Nooooo!

  • Best Guild Wars 2 preview video I've seen so far... Keep up the good work

  • okey i dont get the main plot is to kil elder dragons what if theres a dynamic event about killing the final boss or something and i just happen to be offline does that mean i missed it and i cant do it later?

  • @MsCold45

you dont get to the kill the elder dragons, atleast not all of them, if you're thinking of dragons like tequatl, the one TB fought, thats a dragon champion, a high ranking dragon but not an elder dragon.

there is only one of the elder dragons which players can kill and its the end dungeon of the game, you fight Zhaitan in Orr and its instanced inside a dungeon, not a dynamic event, you wont miss it.

  • this game looks like easy mode tbh. I preferred the grind games where ur hard work has more of an effect

  • @Devin6gw : you joking your hard work never had any effect. If you dont work hard enough in gw2 you will lose like a whole town...

  • @MrTree421 Meh, everyone has their likes and dislikes. I enjoy grinds, but I'll try out GW2.

  • @Devin6gw : Thats everything that can be asked of (of?) you :)

  • @MrTree421 Whats everything you could ask?

  • @Devin6gw A low level player can fight high level mobs by dodging out of the way of damage, your reward is more exp and loot unlike wow where you get half or no exp for killing a red mob.

  • @YamiPoyo: To try it out before judging it.

  • @MrTree421 I dont even need to try it i want it now.

  • @YamiPoyo :yeah thats for most people the case thats why that line wasnt sent to you ^^

  • it seems as tho there isnt all that mutch reason to even get to the lvl cap anyone got 3 solids reasons for doing it??

  • @MrWames

    -access to high level dungeons,

    -completion of the personal story

-full access to abilities, armour and everything else.

    want me to go on?

  • I Cant wait for this game to come out everything about it looks perfect! I just dont know which class i should choose???

  • Holy fuck... This game needs to come out already...

  • @jwells62225 I KNOW, i've just spent 3 hours reading about it....and I already knew everything! :O

  • And Here I am again looking at your GW2 videos 3 nights in a Row Trying to figure, should go with Ele or Thief or warrior or Necro, or Ranger

  • The only problem i see with this "Even Leveling Curve" is that the game will end too quick, and once you reach lvl 80.. what else is there to do?

  • @TriangleDragon um.... play? You don't play a game to level up, you play it to have fun. I don't see this game being anymore fun if you're a high level than if you're a new player.

  • @TriangleDragon

if memory serves each level is predicted to take 1 and half hours on average, that means 140 hours to reach max level, which is already a fair amount of time already, double this with the fact that the game is being released with what approximates to 32 dungeons, over 1500 handwritten dynamic events not to mention general questing, crafting and also minigames with in the cities.

theres going to be plenty to do.

  • @ourorboros2 No matter how much content they put it, people will eat it up then get bored. Just the nature of the beast.

  • @BigMurph106

hence why they will release more content, either through free patches or through x-packs.

  • Titanic: TOR

    Iceberg: GW2

  • @xHenri if it every comes out! >:(

  • @xHenri Could not agree more.

And the floating driftwood is wow.
