The conclusion of this video is wrong under Biblical scrutiny. Matthew 24 has near AND FAR fulfillment. While there is a prophecy that indeed was about the destruction of the temple in 70 AD, that was NOT the abomination of desolation. The Book of Daniel specifies that the abomination will be in the midst of the 70th week. If the 69th week concludes with the Messiah's death (33 AD) for a preterist or partial pretetist to be right everything would have to be done by 40 AD (the 70th week).
@RizNJ Instead, they just skip 37 years ahead into the future, with no logic. Additionally, most Biblical historians agree that Revelation was written in 96 AD, not 68 AD. This refutes preterism which needs Revelation's prophecies to have been fulfilled by 70 AD. Revelation 2 mentions the martyr Antipas who was killed in 92 AD. So this supports the date of writing well after 70 AD, which alone completely refutes partial preterism.
@RizNJ - If you look at Luke 21 in which Jesus is preaching AT THE TEMPLE, not at the Mount of Olives, He says the wars and rumors of war and false christs will come but the "end is not yet." So in context, we know that there is near and far prophecies in these passages. Partial preterism glosses over this and then makes almost ALL OF Revelation allegory because there is no way they can point to out to a historical fulfillment of things like the 2 witnesses, the image of the beast that can talk
@RizNJ - Partial preterism rests on the idea that the Apostle John wrote Revelation in "code" out of fear of the Roman government. This is a wildly unbiblical assertion. The Apostles all boldly preached the Gospel with no fear of worldly authority. John had no warrant to change what God revealed to him because of political pressure. This is not in the Bible and is insulting to John. Not to mention the Old Testament prophecies this overlooks (the MIllenial temple, destruction of Damascus, etc.)
I agree with this view but i am new to this. I often wonder if Satan retuns claiming to be Christ will this be the reat falling away because most people will accept him as the second return o Christ that has been pushed in media for so long. Wat do u think?
I partially agree with you, but you have to realize that prophecy is pattern not just prediction and fulfilment, and that apparent simularities in the synoptic gospels do not necessarily talk about exact same event.
I've listend to about the 1st 20 minutes & so far so good. I will have to wait to listen to rest but i dont seem to fit either category or perhaps i do. Ive never believed in a "pretrib rapture" and have always been suspicious of it. I believe that the verses in Thessalonian 4.14-17 & 1st corinthians 15:51-54 are the same event & clearly occur simultaneously with the Physical return of Jesus which the whole world will see. I do NOT believe that Nero fulfills all requirement to be last Antichrist
