well you would think skyrim has alot of bugs getting quest item bugging the quest games bugged for activating a certain quest quite a pain in the butt to be trying to activate a quests for over 40 minutes and just irritating the hell out of you.

im not positive but i think the quest starts at a certin level you got to be like the sugine rose quest you have to be at least level 15 then go in any bar in the major citys i did the same thing you did in the video its not working for me for some reson yet they talk about her dead

It's 3 times you'll be in Windhelm an 2 times outside, so that makes it that you can to go outside 2 times

@dkdeathly That it occurs on the PS3 more is simply by chance; the problem is one of the game itself. I agree it freezes but I'm not so sure this is a console problem either rather than one of the memory space currently taken up. Ah well, we all have our own preferences.

I've taken control of Skyrim with stromclocks so i've been many times in Windhelm.I was trying to activate the quest so i broke in to scatered shiled house and found a woman dead.From her body i took the key of my houme that kji..somtn..so i went in and found the boutchrer's diary.He's saying he's gona kill that Sussana..is there a way to prevent that from happening? Killed DB, killed ulfric, joined imperials. Anyone know if it would be impossible? Skyrim needs to get their shit together with these bugs. im on ps3 and my only problem with this quest is that i did most of the quest and got the wizard guy locked up then i thought it was over so i bought the house and decorated it and now i cannot clean up the mess. then i went and talked to the wizard in jail and it gave me the dialog option " there has been another murder" or something like that. now it wants me to patrol and i did that now it wants me to catch the murderer and he is standing in my house. i cant kill, pickpocket, or catch him

@brett102938 When you buy the house you need to purchase the Clean up the mess upgrade before any of the other upgrades, as for why calixto is in the house I have no idea. as far as I remember calixto will arrive in the market at some point to kill again and that is when you nail him. The marker where it tells you to patrol is off, it tells you to be by the front entrance to the city but the murder actually takes place in the market. Wait for him there.

If you have completed dark brother hood and killed ulfric  you can't do it but if your a stormcloak buy the house and if you haven't joined the dark brother hood you do what he does. Thumbs up so everyone can see.

wat really sucks this is the third major bug ive came across the forsworn mission is bugged for me wich ive looked up on but i got the weird case where the guy your supposed to meet towards the end is a pile of dust n theres no guards in the temple at all n then there is the mission for fort sungard or greenwall i somehow got to skipp that mission completley n continue wit the stormcloak missions so result i dnt have that achievement n since i completed the stormcloaks mission i cant complete

hey man this didn't work for me and I haven't even joined DB or the Imperials yet. Do you think I fucked it up by stealing Calixto's treasure key and opened up his treasure chest revealing that he is the actual murderer before even starting up the quest??

@alexgardien5 It's supposed to be possible still but doing imperial and doing full dark brotherhood will break it. You won't be able to buy the house without completing the quest and the person who has the key to let you in and start it will be dead and gone.
