I really enjoyed this. Got to see him once in Cols. Ohio circa '88-'89. Was blown away. Got AUTOGRAPH on Bitche's Brew LP!!!! He was a continual Leader / Creator -Did not put up w/ any BS. Good at head games when it suited him.
I heard in one interview about Miles. There Dizzie Gillespie told that sometimes Miles didnt know even what harmony was at the time or chord and scale what to use. His music just came from his world - his imagination and fantasy and ear....
now I think - what a genius... in nowadays only few play straight from ear... :)
@faulbaums I have a feeling that might not be true though, miles was attending julliard, so I'm sure he had basic knowlege of things like harmonies. In his autobiography, he says that he stayed in julliard as long as he did only to soak up all the theory he'd be learning, and he said that he knew more theory than alot of the older guys on the harlem scene. He might be exaggerating though
I picked this particular DVD up in an indie record store in Manhattan. Those are the kinds of places that stock them, sure there's plenty of sites online too.

Thank you, PeeyanoKeys! I love fusion-era Miles Davis and there aren't many things like this on Youtube.
