Seeing the girl leaning on the hood of the truck in the intro just makes my landing gear descend... she has a nice fleshy ass that a quarter could ricochet off!
Ahh, the good old days... When music (Southern Rock in particular!) had REAL Heart!! Whenever the dog-shit on that calls itself "music" these days gets to be too much..? I toss in my cassette (yes, cassette! I refuse to open the Vinyl I have of 38 Spc.) & hit play...
@tyme4mike, I think you just said it all, I got married in 85, my daughter arrived in 87, got divorced in 93, remarried in 96,(still married and happy) I remember in the 70's when I was single and partied everynight. And watched this video on MTV back when MTV was worth watching.
@skoggit I remember those days also.......when MTv actually showed music videos. My kids watch it now....and it is nothing but shows about self centered young people and drama filled females who feel entitled to drive Mercedes and do nothing but shop for shoes and handbags all day......expect to live in mansions and do nothing to contribute to society. I spend a lot of time deprogramming them after spending an hour watching that crap!
Only one thing that was better than the 80s..that was the 70s. But it was all relevant depending on when you grew up, who you were in love with, what level you partied at and how good the music was. So I guess the 70s did it for me but the 80s were damn close. I think getting married in '84 changed everything and how I looked at things. My son was the biggest thing for me from the 80s.
i can remember who ,what, when & why this song was so good, little did i know the fun was just getting started...the 80's start to finsh were a blast!!
@bundlerun BS! Thats when rap took off, the 80s were partly awesome. Around 1986 is when the party stopped, when rap and glamour metal took over the air waves.
Got this cassette for Christmas the year it came out (1984). Played it to death. Gretat decade for Rock music. Lot of excellent music came out the 80s.
Well it was pretty prophetic wasn't it? The "Boss" was screwing old Patti under her nose while they were married. I think Julianne was the better looking and had more class of the two but not being a big fan of his anyway----oh well.
what a great southern rock band

That was Springsteen's ex wife. Julianne Phillips. She became famous once she married him.

I think Bruce Springsteen married the chick with the gun. She was in a made for TV movie about the same time.
