Most surfers don't know why they don't like waveski riders. They don't like boogie board riders and don't like eachother either. The real reason why waveski riders are unpopular is because they can sit further out and pick their choice of waves. Also, they are bloody hard to learn on and can be dangerous in the hands of a rookie.

The kayak paddlers are either too lazy to stand or have a balance issue where they are too retarded to stand.

@Sockydave for sure. And in real life if they start hating on wave skiiers they will have a pissed off guy with a polearm to discuss things with. When I was skiing I had a lot of arguments with surfers that settled down real fast once they got that image straight in their heads.

Guys. Iam going to put this simple. People are coming into my surfshop telling me about waveskis coming into their utube suggestions. Thing is They dont like like it. Half the grommets here are getting tubed on 6 foot waves and going over seas in Bali at G-Land, and I have seen some of these ridiculous posts and there is not one wave skier here that has shown me anything close to a tube ride, decent rock break. Dont invade our beaches again like RAIDER did which caused a lot a issues in the 80's

See that surfer amongst the kayaks. He is showing them what they should be really doing. The kayakers should be doing something more constructive like preparing a meal and drink refresments4 the surfer in the water when he finishes. What they did in the water was a waste of wave.

Great video..Why are surfers so anti waveskis? We all share the same ocean and are all doing it to have fun.pure and simple. I have tried both, and waveskis can catch twice as many waves as surfers. Don't follow the crowd..Buy a waveski.

If you live somewhere where 6' waves only break once or twice a year, you can spend a LOT of time surfing 2 and 3 foot stuff or even some shorebreak with a waveski. and when the 6's or even 12's show up, guess what - you can surf that too. Surfboards are lucky to catch 1/3 as many waves. sure, they're prettier when they do....

On a competitive level, I would not watch this due to the lack of surf skils shown, nor do I hate it. The riders of these craft are trying hard though.

Seems like you and your buddy northsidesurfrider are watching a bunch of waveski vids based on the amount of negative comments you both have left in the last few hours. If you don't like it, don't watch it. It's different form of surfing like bodyboarding or SUP surfing. Deal with it, it ain't going anywhere. :)
