@argv01 Hey there, I've got a question. Was it really that bright in the night or just the over-exposure setting? Because I've tried using my camera to take pictures in the pitch dark night, but it can't seem to capture the stars.
QUESTIION: what video camera did you use? I'm thinking of getting an HD camera with a time lapse feature so was that a time lapse camera or did you edit it on a computer? If it is a timelapse camera, which one?
@buca100 it's not a video camera--it's a still camera. Each frame is taken automatically using a timer, and the frames are stitched together using a movie-maker program.
@MrMusicoutloud it was a full moon, and the "over-exposure" setting on the camera makes it look like day. But you can still see the stars, giving it a rather surreal effect.
@arx320skater planes -- comets fly far too fast to capture. Remember, these movies are 30-second exposures, and the movie is 30-frames per second... it took several minutes for each plane to fly by.
tHE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL.....but the atmosphere is sucking the oxygen out of our little space in the universe. what comes next ? We are doomed to be sucked injto a Blck Hole..

how you got it, that there's no flickering? I tried to capture a sunset timelapse with my 550D, but it failed and the flicker appears. Any tips?

@argv01 What type of camera do you recommend for this? I just got a new camera for Christmas but Im not sure if it's the right kind of camera for it.

This is fantastic. I would love to see this in the mountains (or ocean...) with absolutely no light around for the night time sky.
