    I don't know what wood type it was, it was all scrap in the garage.

    heres the measurements used

    but you can make it bigger / smaller

    (2) 2x4's 15 1/2" for the top rest of the transmission mount

    (4) 1/4 x 9 3/8" for the bottom (helps aligns jack) & used on side (area for mounting screws)

    (2) 9 1/2" x 9 5/16" used as the base of the entire stand

    wood screws somewhere around 3 1/2", strain relief and nut, bolt, and washer

    this can be altered many ways. Hope This Helps

    It fits on the Harbor Freight Jack pretty well but I still held the Transmission as I lowered it "just in case" it was a prototype :)
