Lea Salonga, Charice, and the new lead vocalist on Journey, can't remember his name. @tagaglan yeah but what exactly are you proud of? proud of other people's fame and stardom? proud and pride should be reserved for your own achievements. if you haven't done anything to be proud of, then what is it exactly? Charice got where she's at not because of the culture but of what she'd been through when she was young. All the hardships, pains, sufferings, the hard work, and the perseverance to bring food on the table her family were what got her there.

With all due respect to all other races, the Philippines do have great musicians. I am very pleased that some of them are getting the recognition they deserve. Lea Salonga, Charice, and the new lead vocalist on Journey, can't remember his name. If you go bar hopping or clubbing in Manila and you want to hear Earth, Wind & Fire, you'll find a group that sound just like it, perhaps even better. Barbra Streisand? They got one! Michael Jackson? That too! You name it and they have it!

The simplest thing,is perfect. Not a lot of man made, perfected, developed. WHat is good about Charise is her voice, there are some creatures that are just gifted and charise is one of them.
Having known the Philippines, as a country, they are the most enthusiastic singers, even if no voice, they will sing with no restraint. it is only reasonable there would be very good singers. Lucky for the world she was discovered.

Charice is from a poor family, just like Manny Pacquiao who, never stop believing that Filipino is the best. Believing that Filipino is the Best is only a dream. But shutting this dream off will only make us more poorer. Give us this pride, please allow each and every Filipino to shout and say that "WE ARE THE BEST".

But then, i rather have you all commenting like, "Charice, your the best! I love you!" Or "You did a great job manss! I respect you." than "WE ARE THE BEST!". It's not that it is wrong but because by this sentence, it makes people feel that you are a demoralising/ looking down on other countries. If you can't accept it than its ok.

Filipinos are obviously just new to the net, that's why you can always read about it, hear about it.. I know a lot of people are fed up. But there sure are a lot of people out there who are much more proud of their country too and be 'over' about it, well it so happens that people from your country are just like that.

I agree with you. Pinoy fans have the tendency to be arrogant and are very proud to be a Pinoy and it is like they are superior to others. Their Pinoy idols are not arrogant about their stardom but the fanatic Pinoy fans are. ThEse people are an embarassment to the Filipino people. .

I really love Charice singing she is awesome! I would love to hear her sing her own music written for her. Imitating is good to get you in the door but in the end you have to bring your own sound to the audience. We have a Beyonce already. Charice voice is powerful and beautiful. Post some of her own music.
