I think that the elevation change would make a naturally aspirated motor bog out that high up, turbos are good for that as they use a constant pressure in the cylinders so the air/fuel mixture doesn't change with the elevation but the extra power helps for sure i bet lol
well ya but you can calibrate your motor for different elavations...if u took a sled the was jetted for sea level your sled would just bog out like you where saying
calibrating your motor is alot easier and saves you the 5 grad for a turbo
ya if you dont change the jets it;ll blow up, if you ride flatland to i would change the weights in ur clucth for the higher elevation so your sled is more snappy
i still give yamaha props for building a motor that can handle all of that, turbo a 2 stroke and you wont have it for too long, maybe as a dock anchor.
