  • is there a DK2m dual humbuckers with ebony fretboard motherofpearl sharkfin inlay.

  • Where can you get this? Isn't it discontinued?

  • Got one of these in white, gunna get another in black sooon :)

  • 1:05 2:50

  • Comment removed

  • look its kerry king :)

  • idk why but this guy sounds like the nicest dude ever lol

  • that thing sounds good through a fender...it's gotta be kickass

  • Slayer !

  • Parker is badass

  • emg sa on this guitar or something else?

  • @tzimisnff Seymoures

    JB and Jazz.

    the dxmg has EMG hz.

  • it has not sustain guitar

  • does he ever get bored of repeating the same shit every stream? lol

  • omg, this distortion sounds so cool, what kind of distortion is that, amp or stompbox?

  • No offense to the dude in this video, but you'd think Jackson would have, well err, a GOOD guitar player for their product manager. The tacky tats and beard only get you so far, ya know.

  • @c0deMunkey kerry kings brother aint that bad he should just never try to play jazz or in fact anything clean cos he sucks at it

  • (8(/) mmmmmm canela!!

  • what amp is he using?

  • @dimmutim a terrible one

  • @dimmutim he's using a Fender. it's behind him.

  • @AirgunAddict256

    i know but which fender?

oh just see it it its a supersonic

  • FIRE JD AND HIRE HIM FOR ALL THE GUITARS

  • i pretty much prefer the neck pickup in about anything.

  • Can anyone please help me. I have a Jackson DK2M which I think is awesome but it seems impossible to setup for drop tuning. I want to use drop C# drop B and drop D tuning, is it possible or am I asking too much. I did try drop B and it fucked the floating trem, just wasn't enough tension. Even when I try to tune down everything to E flat tuning, it just fucks the trem, not enough tension to hold it. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong, do I just need thicker gauge strings, is it that simple?

  • @Hertsman50 Yes. For D would be 10's, So for B you would need 12's, I believe. You can also add one more spring to the back of the floyd, so you can get lower with thinner strings. Thicker strings sound more massive and fat.. I prefer thinner strings for that bell like sound when picking on a upstroke..

  • @MladenKapisoda thanks a lot for your help, much appreciated.

  • Wow is Kerry King xDD

  • @Ibanezz977 lmfao that's what i thought too

  • The demo is rotten but I know that it is a great guitar, it's only the person who plays with whom is not great

  • too bad they discontinued this guitar

  • @TStouffer Have they discontinued it? It's still up on the site.

  • @klummster88 i thought so, for a while there, it wasn't on musician's friend, music 123, guitar center, or sam ash. I recall trying to find a second one a few months ago because it's pretty hard to find a quality maple fretboard jackson that cheap.

  • @TStouffer Tell me about it, I live in the arse end of England so it's impossible to get good guitars around here...my local shop actually wanted to charge me half the price of the guitar just to order it in. Decided to try my friend's instead haha.

  • What is this guitar compared to a Ibanez RG3570Z ?

  • @tastyciggarette They are both great guitars. Personally i think that jackson have way better riffing tone but the ibanez has an extremely nice solo tone. Both guitars are pure win though. Never played the model you say but prestige RG ibanez are similar and i've played them. Both the jackson and ibanez are high quality and very playable instuments. I would go for the jackson

  • @topografer Thanks ,i also found out that i like the looks of the Jackson more :)

so I'm going to get a jackson but probably with a mahogany fretboard

  • @LaraPegasus mahogany fretboard???????????? never seen one

  • @cnarro890 lmfao

  • this guitar is so gonna sound perfect for some heavy chugging riffs when i get this badboy but with string thru.

  • im gonna get cereal too

  • i think im gonna go get a bowl of cereal...

  • @DrummerFL83 A BOOOOOWL!!!

  • Dudes hows the weight?,thinking of getting one, hope its not neck heavy.

sounds real good in this demo

  • Nahh with an Alder body it should be pretty even ...or slightly to the body

  • @fordgt402

its a very light guitar and in my opinion the weight is balanced well. Not neck heavy at all. A great guitar; highly recommended!

  • the weight is good their quite light and have such a beefy sound

  • I have this. Its fucking great. The bridge pickup screams and growls and sends me back to the lead 80s solos, and the bridge completely changes the sound to something more chunky and softer.

the volume knob works great too, completely smooth with no scratching, dailing the volume back gives you even more control over gain/tone. my favorite guitar so far.

  • he said "chimier, more jazz-ier tone"

    learn some correct grammar chris.

  • Wow this bald guy sucks at guitar.

  • @Rapedbyaclown666 well that "bald guy" helped create arguabley the best guitar manufacturer in the world.

  • dude he made one of the best if not the best guitar company in history!!!

  • he does th same intro rif on this other vid for a emg x's vid..

  • he must get tired of saying that.. but im sure he has it memorized!

  • a guitar that looks hot in black and in white, i like that

  • me wantee!

  • The sound hes getting it quite poor. Needs a better amp

  • @sparky191 yeah, but the guitar is very good!

  • Hard to tell with that amp. I'd love to hear it with a decent amp.

  • i think he had to since they're promoting fender/jackson

  • which jackson is that orange one to his right?

  • dx10d

  • i think the end was very steve vai-ish

  • My DK2M has Seymour Duncan JB TB4 humbucker (bridge) and a Seymour Duncan Jazz SH2N humbucker (neck) but it looks like this guy has a Duncan JB59 in his DK2M. I thought the DK2M came with standard pickups but I'm obviously wrong. My guitar does sound very good, I'm not sure if the JB59 is a better pickup than the JB TB4 ? The pickup in this demo doesn't sound as chunky as the JB TB4 .

  • its opinion, dude

  • Myn has EmG 81-85 neck and bridge pickups with reverse headstock. i thought it was called a DK2M but idk. do u kno what its called?

  • dkmg i think

  • dkmg

  • oh ok thankssss

  • I think you have the Jackson DKMG, 's the only one they have I can think of that comes with active EMGs.

  • But idk i think so too

  • DKMG

  • dkmg

  • wow kerry king you goo man

they look identical..such a chunky song great non the less..eventually id have to own a dinky

  • Hey i might be getting a new jackson pretty soon and idk which one to get, ive heard that the floyd rose tremolo system makes it hard to change tunes and i play alot of standard, drop d and drop c. idk if thats true or not, or should i get one without the floyd rose?

  • Floyd rose tremolos are a pain if you are using various keys. Even changing string gauge requires adjustments to spring tension on the bridge to keep it at its best. If I was you I would get a fixed bridge guitar. (or even better one of each. )

  • Okay Thanks and i dont think i can get more than one guitar lol thanks though.

  • well the flyods are hard too change. I'd probably go with the js kelly (if you're looking for something that's cheap and good) it doesn't have a flyod rose and it stays in tune very well. if you have a lot of money I'd probably go for a couple js dinkys with flyod's then you could have one for D C and standerd. but that's just on the cheap. most jacksons have just flyod's

  • Thanks and i just got the Js Kelly it kicks ass.

  • Would this be good for an alternative metal/grunge band, like breaking benjamin for example? I like the solo capabilities and the clean.

  • i dont really play metal a lot but i use trem a lot. and im really fond of the pickups here. would this guitar be a good choice even tho i dont play metal??

  • Yeah, but Ibanez RG also works good

  • nurf dks pls.

  • Comment removed

  • i also play this one this one is amazing lol

  • is this guitar good for playing thrash like slayer and metallica

  • Yes for sure, the riff at 1:08 I think is actually a Slayer riff, all Jackson are good for playing thrash.

  • i have this

  • i think i like it better white.

  • hi

can you tell us what the diference betwen

    DK2

    DK2M

    and DK2S

    thanks

  • The DK2, had three pickups (two single coils in the neck and middle, and one humbucker in the bridge) and has a rosewood fingerboard. The DK2M you see has two humbuckers and a maple neck. The DK2S has a sustainiac driver in the neck for long sustain and rosewood fretboard. hope this helps :)

  • it dont really understand those thing

    whats better>??

    and what diferennce its make??

  • Dk 2 rosewood 2 singel 1 humbucker

    dk 2 m maple fingerboard 2 hum

    dk2s rosewood 1 hum 1 single 1 sustainiache

  • i know that the dk2m means it has a maple fret board. as for the others idk. lol just sharing the little knowledge i got.

  • dk2m has two humbuckers and the s-version is an H-S-S* set-up ... the S* being a sustaniac pick-up leading to tones that last unusually long ;)

  • i play things like ac/dc, guns and roses, blues, megadeth.....what is the best guitar for me...dk2s, dk2m or dk2t???

  • Seems like you like to play many styles (blues to megadeth), so its good that you're thinking of jackson. The DK2S probably has the most, just because of the Sustainiac. But if you get the DK2M, it's not like u will have a significant Dissadvantage. And with the DK2T doesn't have a Floyd, so thats a major setback, but u could tune it easier (if u only have one guitar, and you need to switch tunings alot, get the DK2T)

  • DKMG

  • dk2 is the most versatile, i have it and i play from Dream Theater and Malmsteen to a beautiful Dire Straits sound or Eric Johnson's Manhattan, very nice sounding guitar

  • agreed I have one too and I looove its versatility

  • I own this guitar, and I love it! I will never ever trade this away. The guitar fits like a glove in my hand.

Maybe I'll swap the LFR to a OFR sometime when it starts to fall out of tune and I have the money.

  • dude i just got that guitar at guitar center today its the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The neck is NOT a 59...it's a Jazz

  • i have this guitar. it rules i advocate 100% it stays in tune so well, omfg i have never played another guitar that stayed in tune better!!!! i got a 2006 model on bridge it has a JB TB4 SD HB and on neck it has a Jazz SH2N SD HB they rule. it is a fun and inexpensive guitar that is built like a truck. and floyd rose is hecka easy to deal with just get a set of fing allen wrenches pansies cant handle the heat...play an ibanez more jacksons for the real playas

  • I'm so getting one in white once i get my enlistment check.

First thing i spend my money on, a white DK2M, weather its made in america or japan.

  • high five to that...im also getting a white one soon :P

  • Comment removed

  • EMG's are balls. The Duncan JB sounds far better for metal IMHO.

  • the last part from 2:35 is realy cool.

The transition from clean to distortion is SICK!

  • he i was wondering if anyone can help me - ive had this guitar for a while now and ive started to get really bad ringing from the strings, i changed the strings but its still happening, how can i fix this? its REALLY annoying.

  • Comment removed

  • Fret buzz? Or what kind of ringing?

  • get yourself a set up. check string height, action, neck curve, get your neck cleaned and eventually your frets set up. should do the trick. I don't know what store you bought yours, but when I bought my Ibanez prestige S the shop offered me a free set up and maintenance. You should check on that.

  • fingerboard's color is suck :D

  • the 2009 one has a black headstock with dark rosewood fingerboard, and mother of pearl pirahna tooth inlays... much cooler.

  • U and I are next to each other on qwerty keyboards, I think this could've been a typo.

  • What size frets does this have?

  • Fatty.

  • good i hoped so

  • I would love my dk2m if it had emgs and a REAL floyd rose.

  • i came

  • i got the same guitar dk2m blk and i realy like it!!!

  • Hey is that a original floyd rose bridge or a licensed floyd rose bridge??

  • this particular model has a licenced floyd rose...i own the same thing in white, and let me tell you it lasts better than any other licened trem out there...because Jackson was one of the original flagship companies to have access to the Floyd Rose patents....the only thing better than this is the real thing...which you'll have to eventually get because the brass wears out slowly

  • LIcenced

How can you even ask this? xD

Dude OFR alone costs 200$ :D

  • Some douchebag a couple months ago kept typing "Kerry King?" as a comment 5 or 6 times in these Jackson vids.

  • what dinky would b better? one with the emgs or with teh seymour duncans?

  • EMG"S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • emg all the wuy

  • the emg's will give you a better metal sound. but the duncans are more rounded and versatile in all genres.

  • Is this guitar made in japan?

  • 2 comments down man

  • yes

  • yes, made in japan

  • This guitar looks awesome with white. Black hardware/inlays, maple neck and white body.

  • its japanesse i own 1 :)

  • do u think its a good guitar for thrash?

  • of course, its a jackson dinky ;)

  • is the usa or japan model?

  • ha does that really look like a usa model? :Pand no its a bolt on neck and usa like never uses bolt on for jackson

  • it looks just like the Jackson DK-1 that is USA Made

  • bi sik bilmio bu adam

  • oh yeah i have this guitar in transparent red, it is metal up your ass and jazz in your mouth :O

  • Wow, since when is Kerry doing reviews? :D

  • that riff at the beginning was annoying as fuck

  • his playing in general is annoying as fuck..

  • this dude has one of the best jobs you can get

well beside like being in a big touring bad

  • You just sold me a guitar, thanks!

  • yeah haha me too

  • haha ya it's a sweet guitar, but the floyd gets innoying though; if you're not gonna use it all the time, get a jackson without it! :P

ps. this guitar looks better in white :P

  • Why is the floyd rose annoying?

  • just cause it's a pain to tune and it's near impossible to use different tunings besides standard without heavier strings.

  • half step sounds pretty good though

  • That's why you use a different guitar if you wanna switch tunings all the time. I don't know why people think floyds are so hard to deal with, unless they're completely braindead.

  • k... if i'm gonna have one good guitar, i'd rather have one that i can put in different tunings

  • Nobody wants to own only one guitar!

  • haha true

  • Except that floyd guitar all sound dull as shit. If you don't believe me, block off the trem and try to tell me it's not 4 times the guitar it was before. The cheap-ass Jackson lo-pro floyd copy in this is not the best either, which only makes things worse. The Schaller and Gotoh floyds are the only usable floating trems I've found so far.

  • its not the best but one of the best Liscened trems ive got 3 jacksons 2 floyds noth saty in tune no matter what

  • You do that thing real justice Chris.

Had I not already bought one, you guys would definately be where I would have gotten it!

Haha, if you guys have the Dean VMNT "Angel Of Deth" in though I'll take that one off your hands!

  • Kerry King is good at rythm but when it comes to playing leads he's just awful. This guy is actually pretty good.

  • Kerry King wannabe?? dude have you ever actually heard Kerry King play? This guy actually has talent.

  • And Kerry King hasn't?

  • MORE LIKE KERRY KING WANNABE

  • poor guy has to say "hi im chris..." every fuckin time, gets so annoying

  • this guy needs to get some better amps. fender blahhh

  • Jackson is owned by Fender. You don't expect him to go waving around a Mesa or a Peavey then, do you?

  • i have a fender bass ap and it kicks ass the standard guitar amps do suck yer lol

  • lol i swear he learnt that intro, he says it on all his vids that cannella

  • i have that, really good. kinda want to replace with an esp

  • Why?? :O
