Yup, there are some disapointment here is they remove the Debug mode & they did using a original SCSP sound chip anymore, they using ADPCM (Surroundable Stereo)

Nah, NiGHTS has bat wings on his/her back. The curled up cloved feet is a nice touch, though!

@R0ckG1r7 If you to japanese website for the remake theres a screen shot of her in the costume. Insted of the vest she wears, there's bat wings coming out of the gem on her chest and the belt has pumkin design in them,and the costume mostly white like a ghost.I guess it just holloween theme in all.

@BritishTwili09 You are right! I ordered this game from Japan and did some tricks to get it to work on my North American PS2.

I would say it's more of a remake than a port because the controls seem a little different to me, but I love the overall presentation and the fact that they include Christmas NiGHTS and new features like Halloween NiGHTS. It's just too bad that they didn't include some of the extras that used to be in the Christmas NIGHTS version, like Sonic into Dreams, the link and time attack modes, and the melody box.

How did you manage to play this on an American PS2?

Yeah it's a shame this hasn't been released outside of Japan. I ended up playing it by putting it on a ps2 hard drive and using software to bypass the region code. You can also play it by using swapmagic, which is pretty common. Both methods are nice because you don't have to mod your ps2.

I'm actually going to try this Swap magic thing. I found a website that has both the slide tool and disc's. But I wouldn't have found out about this without the comments you put up about it. A question. When you play in april fools day. As Reala. You can play as reala on every level? Well. If yes. Would be possible to upload a Reala Gameplay in Splash Garden? Well only if you want.

I've always wondered if Reala can morph into a Mermaid or Sled like Nights.

My copy of the game doesn't appear to change with the time of year at all in Christmas mode or in normal mode...

You might have to beat both of the Xmas levels if you haven't done so yet. Also, the Halloween costumes only work in the Mystic Forest level. Let me know if that helps.

Ive heard of it, but what does it do anyway and how does it work?

Search for a video and you'll see how it's used. Basically you put the swapmagic disc in, then you use a slide tool to open the disc tray without pressing the eject button, then you put in your japan disc, and it won't know that it's a japan disc because it still thinks its the swapmagic disc. That's how it bypasses the region code.

It's a bit of work and money. I'd suggest you just buy swapmagic and do the swap trick. A bunch of other NiGHTS fans are doing that instead because it's a bit easier.

Yep, on a fat american ps2. To bypass the region coding I run it off a hard drive with a patched hdloader. It was a bit tricky to figure out at first but it was well worth it.

Yes, I checked and there is still the same Winter outfits and New Years outfits for the kids that were used on the xmas disc. NiGHTS still has the regular outfit.
