Skyrim: One-Shotting an Ancient Dragon with a Bow (700 Base Damage) on Master Difficulty

1. It isn't hacking, you can do this on 360/PS3, too.

2. You didn't absorb the soul because you recently did a quest involving that place on the map (Dragon Bounty), intentional, prevents farming Dragon Souls... because they're so hard to get amirite

oh i think im gitting close, 369 dmage with ebony bow, 100 smith and enchant, the alchemy is hard stuff to level, and i only bought fortify enchant and fortify smith potion at shops..cant make a powerful potion yet cause sadly i haven't discovered those effects yet... but dont tell me the recipe, dont wanna be spoiled.

Of course, such numbers are ludicrous and completely overkill. But it is fun nonetheless.

I think u need to know if it is light or heavy then go for those perks, they will give armor bonus, if not then just rank up smithing with iron dagger making (look up fast smithing to 100) this will boost improvment ability

@sandking0099 no. they have way more. the damage on it is 700. he gets x3 for sneaking so that's 700x3 which equals 2100, plus the potion he used which is 147%. so that's equalling =5187. that is what he hit. Although I see where you got the 2100 from, you just forgot the potion.

@sandking0099 they have 3,071 hp. As for it being rather low, well, no. If you do not take advantage of the overpoweredness of the smithing profession then that's a massive amount of health (because you have to count armour too - and if you don't have fire resistance they hit like a truck!)

This is a rather noob question but how do you get gear to be that powerful? I have a dragon scale armor legendary and it's armor rating is only around 40(I think). I am on normal difficulty and level 30. Also my light armor level is only like 38 with no perks.

@MoofieFoof you get the 48% in the enchanting try sum potions to help your enchanting skills and you should be a master enchanter and use only the best soul gems if you can make you own potion you can maybe do better than 48% but their is a lot to it you need to be the master of alchemy and enchant, enchant items to help your alchemy then make a potion to make enchantment stronger then repeat

@flaredude164 You have to destroy items to learn enchantments. And you cannot make enchantments stronger if you already have one on there. Example: You have a Bow with 15% Fire damage, It will stay 15% forever. The only way to make it stronger is to make a new bow and re-enchant.

Max level Smithing/Enchanting. Watch the video again and look at the enchantments on all of his items. He has like 6 different +48% bow damage enchants.

He did use a potion of Marksman or w/e it's called that granted +148% bow damage, so for this specific degree of ownage yes. You could get that 700~ damage without the alchemy component though.

@MadBagGamer Oh thats good. But i recently made my daedric bow and upgraded with fortify smithing armor and smithing elixer potion (whcih increases it by 50%). So after i upgraded to legendary, i enchanted it with fire damage. Btw i have all 5 parts of the first perk in enchanting plus the perk with extra fire enchantment damage. For some reason my bow's base damage is only 255 or so not 700. So im not too sure what i did wrong.

I was actually wrong, stating that you could get the 700 without the alchemy part. After reading the description here it seems you have to do some iterative potion crunching. Make +enchant potions and use them to enchant +alchemy gear to use to make +enchant potions that are stronger kinda crunching. Read his description, it's pretty clear.

@ginrye it also goes with Dragon Priest masks. You will lose your head, with just the falmer helmet visible... if that isnt your thing, save and then load again, the mask should be the only visible headwear... until you travel

@CloudieV No, you don't have to be on master difficulty to find them. I found them on the default difficulty as well. According to the wiki you should be able to find them once you hit level 30 or around there.

@JakubFTW You should go to cities and start doing bounties. The reward is usually little but the loot is usually good. That and get the Masque of Clavicus Vile( one of the perks is 20% better shop prices) and an Amulet of Zenithar (10% better shop prices).

@JakubFTW You can get bounties from inn keepers or stewards. Just say you're looking for work and they'll give a piece of paper describing the bounty and then it will be added to your misc section. Another way to make some coin is to learn the transmutate( not sure on name) spell that allows you to change iron ore into silver ore and if you're carrying some gold ore you can then change that silver ore into gold ore. You can find it in the Halted Streams Camp.

Thx for the vid and description, got 700 dmg bow combined with with the second enchantment on my armor which is restorations spells cost 29% less to cast. When u add up the 4 peices that have it, I have 116% less to cast......Can never die =)

@JUSYJUZ if you do something similiar for a mage (don't do anything with smithing, just enchant armor to fortify a specific school) it gives you 29% magicka reduction for spells of that school per piece of armor (two schools if you have double enchant perk) and if you use enough armor pieces, spells from that school will cost nothing.
