  • I love this, we showed it on the local Creature Feature when I worked doing backdrops, makeup, and animation.

  • Very well done...as Sherlock Homes would say, prominent men have prominent profiles...

  • Steve Kilbey sings good whatever song he sings has meaning.

  • Wow! I have not heard this song since 1986. I only heard it once and wondered who did it. Very 80s in my opinion but I stil like it after all these years.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Amazing song!!

  • I love this film, something about it captivates me every time I watch it, & Steve Kilbey's languid vocals are a perfect compliment to the images.

  • This video is absolutely brilliant :-) You're really talented! Steve's not too bad either.

  • yeah, please bring me something fit for the human race

  • steve was my old guitar teacher

  • hauntingly bewitching song

  • Cool, great remake. By the way I am a ghost and I love this song :) boo

  • Awesome video! I keep watching it as it is a very good one ...of course it is a great song too... only a real The CHURCH fan can feel the pysche of it all... if that makes sense...I got a video out there with two of The Church songs if you like to see it and comment ...thanks

  • Fantastic! When did you make this? Was it distributed? It seems I've seen it before (would've been a long time ago - might be an error of memory).

The Ignatius Jones version is ruined by the inclusion of a theremin (there was an extended version without that was great, but impossible to find).

    Anyway, thanks for posting this.

  • Hey, thanks for watching! I made this around 1992 I think. I actually have the edited version on Super8 - cut and taped together. The sprocket holes are quite unreliable at this point though.

Originally wanted to follow this up with a film using The Church's "Disillusionist" in the same manner but never did. Also, have a script for The Church "Buffalo" I wanted to do. Passed it to Kilbey, but he seemed very disinterested. Oh well.

  • Thanks for posting this. I saw it on a local Nashville show called Chiller Cinema about 2 or 3 years ago and I loved it but I never saw it again until now.

  • Hmm, there are only a few copies floating around... I don't know how it ended up in Nashville, but it seems to have a life of it's own, which is cool. Thanks for checking it out... again.

  • Oh, the memories of Cedar Point, BG, Columbus, and Chicago...I miss ya Batman!

  • Ah yes, the good old days - we've grown up so much since then... ya right! Hard to believe this film is 16 years old.

  • Great Job!

    very cool film!

  • Thanks M - Happy you dig my dusty old film... glad I dug it out of the crypt.
